a wheel question

I'm looking at stepping down from 20" wheels to 19" to avoid pothole damage and give me a better sidewall look with a nice beefy tire. I saw a picture of a set of black TSW Sebring wheels on a BMW M6 and I thought they'd look great on my yellow Vantage.

Any other Vantage or DB9 owners have TSW wheels on their cars? Are they decent quality?

The set I'm looking at are 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear, both with 40mm offset. I plan to put a nice, wide tire on, but will I need a spacer in the rear to make them look correct?

Did you consider going up tire size ratios on your 20s?

19s seem to work fine, but your 20s could still go up in series size without rubbing. Your speedometer may be off, but comfort will be up.

I considered it but I'd like to keep the circumference close to stock to avoid speedometer issues. Plus the TSWs would be much easier/less expensive to replace than the HREs I have if I do damage one beyond repair due to bad roads; HRE doesn't make the forged M49 anymore.

Why don't you look for a decent set of Sports Pack wheels, they came in 19" and with spacers they look awesome

I'm actually considering this as a temporary measure because all the roads in central Florida seem to be under construction. fortunately I still have my sport pack wheels but will need new tires...
I love how 20's with spacers fill the wheel wells spread out the stance.

The Vantages look much better with larger wheels - I had 20's on a few past V8's, but I also love the look of the 19's of the standard V12S wheels I have now, so I just went with wheel spacers instead of the 20's on my V12S. The new Vantage has 20's which fits the car stance better.

TSW wheels

I have a set of 20" TSW wheels on my V12 Vantage and am quite happy with them. They have been in use for over 2 years now and I have no issues.

Thanks, that's good to know. What style are they? Any photos?

I have 19s and 20s - I prefer the ride and looks of the 19s on the last generation Vantage - Check out Redpants and BC forged

I've seen the ones Rich has on his site, but they're not really my taste. I do like the Redpants fitment and the look of the extra-wide tires, though. He uses 245/40-19 and 285/35-19 tires on 8.5 and 9.5 inch wide wheels.

Anyone know what the actual offset numbers are for the Redpants fitment?
