DB9 & Vantage Wheel and Offset Custom and Factory Guide

I thought I would post this thread, hoping that members will share not only pictures of their wheels, but include the offset and wheel size and tire size so that other owners can use this for a guide when making decisions for what they want. I am currently planning on a new set of shoes for my 2005 DB9. I have looked at all the posts and can't find proper suggestions for offsets, and cannot find offsets for factory wheels that are correct. I do see posts, but then I will see another with a different set of offsets. Also, LRDog posted I think it was a 09 DB9 where his calipers where larger or positioned differently than earlier years which required a different offset to clear them. Please only post pictures for DB9's so that can be tracked. Vantage owners can or should post an identical thread for those models. However, I have one personal request. I am running 2012 Vantage S wheels. The fronts likely are the same 8.5 wheels as the DB9s, but the rear are 10 wide. I would like to see if someone knows the offsets to these. IF so please post. I am trying to figure what to have custom wheels made.

1. Likely going with 9" wide wheels, but HRE suggested 9.5" wide for the fronts. I am going to run 255.35.20 in the fronts.
2. I would like to run 295.35.20 in the rears, but not sure if the wheels should be 10.5 wide or 11. I want something a bit more conservative than the DBS wheels, but no where close to factory DB9s.

Offsets, someone mentioned they are the same as Vantages for flushing the wheels to the body panels at +42 front, and +52 rear. But again not sure. I know someone is running 21"s on a DBS, so sizes of tires and offsets would be nice to know, however I think the DBS has something different on the rear where that works there but not on a DB9.

Someone a lot smarter than me can likely help a lot on this subject, and maybe this can be a start of a great thread to help others.

Here's a site I frequently use to see how different wheel/tire combos will affect fitment and speedo error:

Well, this got no love from anyone. Geez, does anyone have aftermarket wheels on a DB9 that can share the offsets and fitment. This also covers Vantage wheels. This is a consistent question on the forum, thought it would possibly be a good thing to have it all in one area.

Here is another tool to use, IF you have the correct numbers:

https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/

What I gathered up over the past week:

Vantage Factory wheels sizes and offsets:
V8V-- 19 x 8.5 et +50.3; 19 x 9.5 et +62.5; Tire size is 235.40.19 front; 275.35.19 rear
2016 V8V-- Tire change sizes 245.40.19 front; 285.35.19 rear (not sure if the 2014- and up are the same listed)
V8VS-- 19 x 8.5 et +49; 19 x 10 et +59.3; Tire size is 245.40.19 front; 285.35.19 rear
V12V and S-- 19 x 9 et +51; 19 x 11 et +58; Tire size is 245.35.19 front; 295.30.19 rear

DB9 Factory Wheels:
DB9-- 19 x 8.5 et +50.3; 19 x 9.5 et +62.5; Tire size is 235.40.19 front; 275.35.19 rear
DBS-- 20 x 9 et +42; 20 x 11 et +54; Tire size is 245.35.20 front; 295.30.20 rear

Offset explanation explained in the below thread:
explained here in detail---https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/aston-martin/296526-new-wheels-my-v8v-what-offset.html

Spacers for Factory wheels:
Vantage: Front 15mm; Rear 23mm
DB9: Front 15mm; Rear 20-23mm fluctuates between threads of what is listed. If someone has specifics list below and I will update

Several people posted their custom wheels for Vantage are:

1. Fronts 20 x 9 et +42; 20 x 11 et +52
Pictured below in this thread:
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...sets-such.html

2. Fronts 19 x 9 et +47, Rear 19 x 10 et +47 Tires are f 245-40-19, r 285-35-19

Updated, thanks, I put in that, plus a whole bunch more details and threads for wheels, but work computer didnt update the thread and lost the info. Will try again tomorrow.

If anyone feels like posting additional info, please do. I am hoping those with custom wheels will post their sizes and offsets.

Well in calculating what at least I think is needed for proper flushing fitment is:

Front: 245.35.20 tire on a 9" wheel with a +42 offset
Rear: 295.30.20 tire on a 10.5" wheel with a +52 offset

That appears to be the correct size, however I am still wondering.

Debating the future purchase of the tires between Continentals and Michelins. The Conti contisportcontact 5 and 6 really rate up there with the current PSS and are or appear to be 1-2 lighter per wheel. The PS4's don't appear to have been reviewed or compared by anyone, but Conti doesn't make at this time a 295.30.20 to decision may be made for me. Not in their #6 version.

I need more rubber than you with all the pot holes here... maybe 255/35R20 and 305/30R20.

I don't care for the slight stretching of the tire on wheels where the lip of the wheel sticks out. However,

I think a 9in wheel in front with 245.35.20 might fit the bill Handyman
Rear also a 10.5in with either 295 or 305.30.20

I need to look at his offset number just to see the calculations. He posted the best kind of pictures for showing wheel offsets that you could get.

PG.9 is infamous around these parts
Thanks for sharing. I found this v helpful 2023. After 5 odd long years with the DB i think its time she gets suited and booted. I am shopping online for wheels so offsets matter. Now I just have to visualize what an extra 2cm "poke" from OEM looks like, any visual aids I can use :-) tx for the thread....

Using used wheels from a DB9 on my Vantage

I'm running 20" front and 21" rear used wheels I bought from the 6SpeedOnLine Marketplace with PS4S 245/35/20 Front & 305/25/21 Rear no issues and rides fine.
