I've got a Meteorite Silver 2006 V8V with Obsidian Black leather interior w/ Phantom Grey inserts. My V8V also has red calipers which as you will see may be a consideration. I want to get the drivers side outer bolster and instrument binnacle repaired/replaced because of standard wear and shrinkage issues common with this car. I was thinking while I was at it, I would get the inserts in the seats and door panels replaced. And replace the leather on the center arm rest as well to add more cohesion and pop to it. I've always liked and wanted a red leather diamond pattern with black stitching. So I'm thinking of doing the seat top and bottom inserts, the door panel inserts and the arm rest in red leather with black diamond stitching. I would replace the driver side bolster and instrument binnacle in black as they currently are. I've also considered just going all black and still doing the diamond stitching on the inserts and center arm rest. Though I'm heavily leaning on going the black and red route.
I'm also trying to figure out exactly what color of red and product to use. I was thinking AM Chancellor Red would be ideal. I'm looking for a deep red and don't want to do too bright a red. I think Lords Red would be too dark. And though I would like to stick with AM (BOW) leather, sourcing it has turned to be difficult. So I'm actually thinking of using maybe a Porsche or Ferrari red that looks to be more readily available.
And to give you an idea of what this might look like, I've attach a couple of pics below. You are going to have to use your imagination a little as this is not my car and some of the materials are a bit different. This is a pic I found on the internet and has been photo shopped to give me an idea of what the red leather with diamond stitching might look like. The front seats are the same shape as mine, but the pic's interior has some creme colored on the center console and mine is black. Mainly focus on the top of the drivers side seat where the seat is recolored. One pic is Chancellor Red (I know, only partially stitched in black) and the other a generic darker red color. On the right side of the pic is where the color was sourced for the recolor and probably want to ignore.
Please let me know your thoughts on colors or materials. I do have a budget and completely redoing the leather interior or even replace the seats with say light weight seats is not an option. While I plan on keeping this car for a while, it would also be good to hear thoughts on what might be more desirable at resale. Thanks!!!

Reason: Title change
This is what I did on the seats of a 2009 V8 Vantage I had which I insisted be done using Weir leather and the shop insisted they do a more wear resistant leather - within months the dye changed hue and looked bad - I insisted they redo the seats ($5,000) and shortly afterwards they went out of business. Anyway I ended up trading for a 2015 V8GT shortly after that. I used the same pattern as Aston was using at the time. I decided against two colors as I ordered my first Vantage in 2007 from the factory with a two color scheme and I found the interior far too busy and that a single color would work better. My V12S has an all Sahara Tan interior - looks incredible.
My 02c, do the interior in a single color. After a while, the multi-colors have a tendency to wear on you. For contrast, pick this up in your stick work.
I like the darker red and black stitching, I think that would look excellent, and quilted leather is always classy. Definitely do the console lid and door panel inserts, as well.
I am not so fond of the diamond stitch and you don't need to match the caliper color. The chancellor red is a good choice. Could you do a paisley stitch or something different? Aston deserves more than a simple diamond stitch.
have you considered a fabric insert? A tartan pattern with the reds you like would be really neat and plenty of good weavers are in the UK to supply the fabric which could last as long as the leather.
You may also want to consider having the interior door handles, door & boot kick plates and centre console resprayed when you do your interior refresh, as they are metal its very easy to get excellent finishes.
In my case I actually strip the paint off and polished them afterwards I got them powder coated clear... picture is not perfect but the finish look like my shift ****
