2010 DBS Help needed

Hi guys. I have a few problems.

Just bought myself a 2010 DBS Carbon black with only 3600 miles on the clock. I unfortunately suffered a flat battery and now I cant operate the windows with the drivers side controls. Also the drivers seat will only go forwards, not back. Finally I cant adjust the wing mirrors. All of these things worked before the battery flat. I've tried the window reset as described in the manual but I cannot leave the ignition in the 0 position as I have the emotion control unit not a key. So I've tried with it out, in and with the engine running. Nothing seems to make a difference. Can anyone help? Thanks

They do weird things once the battery has been allowed to go flat, firstly fully recharge the battery (24 hours on a trickle charger) if that fails the battery may be damaged and could need replacing.

I'd be calling the place that I bought it from asking why my new car doesn't work. Have a new battery fitted regardless, "good" battery is a wide statement unless actually tested properly. Don't understand your 0 key position for setting windows? Key needs to be on or car running preferred.

Key positions are the same for a key or the ECU. Read your manual about positions and try again.

with new battery connected, try pulling the fuse for a few minutes for each module and then use reset procedures... this worked for me on my 2009 V8V

ok thanks I will give that a try. It looks like a bit of a task getting to the internal fuse box.

The car was bought at auction so no comeback. The reset procedures I could find said to have the key a 0 position. I obviously don't have a 0 position. Im taking it for a service instead and will let them sort it.

That sounds like a good option. Ask for a walk thru on the procedures in case you need to do it yourself.

You do have a 0 position with the ECU. It has positions 0, 1, and 2 like a regular key.

Carry out system resets.
  • If calibrating the Drivers seat, move your adjustable steering wheel all the way in and down to get it out of the way of the seat.
  • Power the seat all the way forward until the seat stops, then hold for 1-2 seconds
  • Power the front of the seat up to its maximum height, then hold for 1-2 seconds
  • Power the rear of the seat up to its maximum height, then hold for 1-2 seconds
  • Power the seat back incline all the way forward as far as possible (it will likely touch the steering wheel), then hold for 1-2 seconds.
Seats will now work normally.

Window reset...
  • Sit in the drivers seat with both doors closed and both windows fully closed.
  • Turn the key to the On position so the power windows operate.
  • Press and hold the Window Down button until the window reaches the bottom, and then continue to hold the button for five (5) more seconds. A few seconds in you should hear a faint click.
  • Press and hold the Window Up button until the window reaches the top, and then continue to hold the button for five (5) more seconds. A few seconds in you should hear a faint click.
  • Open the door and check if the drop feature now works.
  • Perform the same procedure on the other window as needed.
Job done.
