Diagram or Instructions for Removing Interior Panels on DB9 Coupe?

Hey again everyone. Ever since having the fuel tank dropped in my DB9 for a repair, I have a loose panel on the interior above the fuel tank that thumps whenever I go over uneven roads. It's super annoying and I'd like to fix it. However, I've had trouble going through my documentation and seeing any instructions for how to remove the interior panels all the way to the rear of the interior of my coupe cabin. Does anyone know where I can find this or have you done this yourself before? I appreciate any insight before I go pulling at panels that could possibly break.

For what it's worth, I do not want to put the car back into the dealership because every time I do, one problem is fixed and another seems to manifest from the work performed. I'd like to take this on myself.

Do you have a service manual?

I have never taken the interior apart but the service manual does have some instruction on how to remove the seats, rear center console, etc. It seems a bit piecemeal though. For example the only place I see instructions to remove the rear center console is as part of the high stop lamp replacement procedure.

What panels are you looking to remove?

Yep I have one, but I agree it's piecemeal. I need to get all the way to the back panels of the coupe interior I think, which could be a challenge without any guidance.

I've had almost all of those piece out. There are a couple of challenging panels. If I was going to do it again I'd seriously consider removing at least one of the front seats first, maybe both.

First step is to get the rear seats out. Horizontal pieces are velcro'd on, so just pull up from the front. Then there's a vertical piece at the bottom of the back rest, also velcro. You should see some bolts below the back rest (I think there are two) that need to be removed. Then you need to lift the back rest; it hangs on "hooks" near the top. The seatbelt will still be attached, so you need room to set the back rest aside.

Then you need to remove the panel just below the subwoofer grille, and the subwoofer griller itself. That should expose a couple of screws holding the center piece with the high-level brake light. Remove them and pull toward the front of the car.

Hopefully by then you'll be able to find what's moving around. Getting the rest of the rear deck out is nasty, mostly because it's a tight fit.

Remember doing some of that when replacing the battery. I'm always amazed how much of the interior of 'modern' cars are put in with velcro and plastic fasteners. Ha! and the price the dealers want for these fasteners. A couple I had to replace on the lower portion of our Jeep were quoted for $6 each. Hello eBay.

Thank you for writing that up for me. I follow most everything except the panel below the subwoofer. How do I go about removing that panel?

Use a trim tool to lift the end closest to the front of the car. There are prong clips on either side (left/right) that will release.

(and ignore the rest of the video)
