i Really tired about this think please help me to find out the problem 🙏🏻

the infotainment or the navigation screen work fine open and close
It’s happen when I jump my car battery and replace the battery but now the navigation not turn off or close
some time and if I leave like that drain the battery I have to try few time to put key on ignition on and off and wait few minute to make sure the screen is off and close

I check the data streem and found there is a problem
the voltage of infotainment not go to 0 After turn the key off position some time and that make screen saty open and on

I check the fuses and they are fine

I would start by disconnecting the new battery overnight to let things completely reset. That may not fix it, but it's an easy thing to do and a decent place to start. These cars seem especially sensitive to electrical fluctuation and you may find a reset is needed after jump starting the car.

If there is a message on the screen that displays " insert disc " it needs software updated.

yes there is a massage all the time even before jump the battery
I never use navigation that why not get update

but now the screen didn’t open and close sometime and that drain my battery

 

It's not a map update, it's a module update to turn it off to prevent battery draw. 2009 model year only.

The only way I can update the system need to visit Deler ?

 

Probably, it's done with C/D not computer but dealer may not have the Disc.

I can offer a thought but cannot guarantee it will work. Go to eBay and look for an update disc for the year of your car. Volvo update discs may work for your car. I have a 2007 Vantage and used the latest disc. I think the lates update disc is around 2015 or so. Just a thought and no guarantees. Good luck.

the think I did to resolve the closing and opening after turn off the car

I bought a navigation cd (Volvo )
also found used screen from eBay
the navigation still ask for cd and the error still was there ( same as before )
but the closing and opening of screen now fixed !
Looks like jump the battery did somting with my screen system
and now want to know why this happen !
I’m still agree the car need nav update and software update !

 

I check the old unit by obd streem
the cause screen stay open or on sometime is the system voltage did not cut power and stay about 6V sometime and never go lower that that think make it’s stay on

it’s should go 14v when key is on position
And go to 4V after key out or turn engine off it’s get to zero after 40 second

6 v navigation stay on for ever
when go to 4 and after 0 it’s close and shut down
