ISO Help: 2019 Vantage windshield wiper fluid tank replacement

I recently purchased a used 2019 Vantage and have found that the tank has cracked and is leaking, this seems to be a problem on the previous generation vantage as well. Does anyone have any guidance on if this is an at home project or I should take to the mechanic? Any guidance is appreciated.

I am not sure this is the answer you want but there is liquid you can put in the tank that when dry it will seal it up perfect. The problem is I cannot remember the name or where to get the stuff. Sorry but a auto parts store may have the answer.

It’s a pretty easy swap but requires pulling a wheel liner. Here’s a how-to video.

I have a 2019 DBS, same problem, I bought the extended warranty, so I will let them do it. If I did not have the warranty I would do it myself, it looks manageable.

This will get you to the tank. I would recommend taking pics before removing stuff..

And you are sure its cracked and overfilled to the neck? The filler neck is just a funnel sitting on top of the tank.

thanks for the info here! My dealer wanted $1400 to replace the tank...sounds like a scam lol but at least the job seems easy enough to DIY

I thought I had a cracked tank, turned out to be the rubber hose on the pump for the windshield.
It had 3 or 4 holes like a mouse or rat chew or something starting a few inches above the pump.

Repairing the tank should be pretty easy once you get it out of the car.

I had mine replaced last year. My mechanic was pretty sure that a crack in the material couldn't be repaired.
