Which version of the maintainer do you have? The latest version of the Aston maintainer is made by Tecmate and supports AGM.

It is an optimate 6 select that supports AGM voltage

Most modern chargers support AGM but not lithium batteries. If in doubt by a CTEK unit which are not expensive and have a setting for AGM which requires a somewhat different voltage charging profile than conventional batteries.
Why not use a regular battery? AGM's are not superior as they have similar life and sometimes fail sooner than regular batteries from my experience. If you do go AGM, definitely update your maintainer to a more modern one.
Both of my CTEKs have AGM settings. AGM batteries have to maintain at a different voltage than flood acid batteries. It's not that the maintainer with just one setting wouldn't work on an AGM, but the more ideal way to maintain an AGM is with the correct voltage.
I have a 7002 which is a huge maintainer (meant for boats and large batteries), then I have the newer MXS 5.0. Both of these have been great maintainers. The 7002 uses a snowflake as an icon for the AGM (why I don't know).
JMR without lithium, I have been very happy with it - I use it with the magnetic connection and move to the clamps or cigarette lighter option, depending on the car
