China grey

Hello. I know color is subjective but I’d like some opinions. Lease is just about up on my 2020 Xenon grey Vantage. I’ve never seen one in China grey dress in person and one is available to me.
if anyone has seen one in the flesh may I ask your reaction to it?
much thanks.

I've seen a few China gray cars at my local dealer. It's a non-metallic light gray. A lot of people call it primer gray. It's a trendy color but I couldn't live with that color. Mine may not be a popular opinion but as you said color is subjective. It looks too much like primer to me, so I find it looks unfinished. I just happen to have a picture of one on my phone.

I think it looks good. With color, you only have to please yourself.

I agree with cb804, I think that looks like primer and really don't like it.

Xenon Grey is one of my favorite silver/grey colors, I wish I could have found one when I was looking. Ended up with Quantum Silver, which at least in my top 3 silver/grey (I really would have like to have found a Zaffre Blue, but those are really tough to find).

I think it’s a great color! Reminds me of Nardo Gray that my RS6 was painted. Love it

Yeah, I agree with you. I'd choose that color in a minute.

There is not a single color out there that someone wouldn't have a problem with it. Worst thing to do is ask opinions on a car forum and if the replies influence you to purchase or not. Then you will probably pass on what could have been a great car that would have made you happy.

Wink My China Grey 19 Vantage

2019 Vantage China Grey

This is my 2019 Vantage. I frequently take the car to car shows with a couple of friends who have Corvettes. They are always moaning about the fact that my car gets all the looks. People are always stopping to check it out. I constantly hear from people that they love the styling, and especially in this color. As with most things, to each their own, but personally I love it. And as far as trendy colors go, Henry Ford only sold black cars in the beginning, and then trendy new colors came out. Most of those colors are still with us today, so I guess trends can be long lasting.

I have always liked these flat / putty style colors on Porsches. While shopping for a new Vantage over the last few months, I just could not get on board with the color. Then I saw one of the AMR manual cars in this color. With all of the carbon trim / splitter/ diffuser etc, it changed my opinion of this color on the Vantage. Maybe I am just used to seeing a metallic paint on Astons, and it just felt wrong to see a flat paint ? We are used to seeing all sorts of colors on P cars from jelly bean colors, to flat colors etc. The loud colors always felt wrong on an Aston. Now, I am warming up to some of the unusual colors that Aston is offering. To my eye China Grey also looks better in the flesh than it does in a photograph. The trim and wheels on the AMR changed my opinion of this color, and I had to make it mine . I will pick this one up next weekend after the dealer gives it a good service . I will park it next to my screaming Orange Mclaren for some contrast in the garage.
