Redpants had a video or a page on his website that mentioned the PCV valve buzzing as a sign it needed replacing. I have done this and it went away for a bit, but is back when the engine is cold and goes once it's warm.
Starting to prep for the annual oil change I noticed there is oil seepage on the lines that come out of the valve covers which I'm guessing are part of the PCV system. Do these need replacing as well? Are they failing causing oil to be pushed past them?
My preference is Simple Green, apply lightly over everything in the bay, and more on the suspected areas on a cold engine. Run it to operating temperature and rinse whilst running with light spray. No pressure washing needed. Allow to keep running until dry, unless you have a leaf blower or compressed air to aid in drying.

I need to clean my engine bay too...
By "light spray", do you mean just a garden hose?
Do you need to protect electronic connections before you spray / rinse?
Thank you.
Just use best judgment and avoid direct hard spray on any electrical connections as they are sealed for the most part. Good spray from garden hose or if using a pressure washer be very light around them.
Ideal to run the engine to help dry and a big plus is compressed air to dry connectors. Make sure to be light around the under hood fuse box and make sure it's clipped into place beforehand. Don't focus on extremely spotless as you can always rinse and repeat. Hope that helps.
