Vantage drivers window switch malfunctioning
Looks like they have a used drivers door module available but maked "damaged ". Does anyone know of anyone repairing these? Im sure its a small motherboard inside that could have small cracks in soldering point that could potentially be repaired?? Any thoughts? Sounds desperate but its not that expensive despite shipping and duty fees.
If anyone could please provide the part numbers for the replacement door modules for a 2008 v8v please. AM will not provide a part number only a quoted price and on back order. I understand iI will need to replace both modules with the updated modules. I have not been able to source an original used drivers door module but I found a pair online for 2012 DB9 and hoping these will work. Help please.
TIA!
TIA!
The ones I bought last were DG43-14C237-AF passenger and DG43-14C235-AF driver. Keep in mind the car configuration file will need to be edited by the factory or someone else who knows how and the modules flashed and relearned the car config.

Thank you. So i suppose these would work for a Vantage if I found a shop that could reconfigure and reflash the modules. Is anyone aware if there are any pro-scanners out there that could do this or would it have to be an AMDS proprietary software? My indy shop that deals mainly with BMW was able bleed my ASM hydraulic system using their scanner, they are not sure but are willing to try. I know i may be comparing apples to oranges here but hopefully someone could shed some light before I go ahead and purchase the two items found online which are used but reportedly working. Another possibility is sending my drivers module off the one of theses repair services and hope the can fix it? Any thoughts are much appreciated!
If you're taking the car so someone who is "not sure but are willing to try," I guarantee they will not be able to do it. I was able to figure out how to edit the config file AMDS pulled from my car, but it took many hours of time, research, and trial and error.
A buddy of mine had almost the exact same problem with his 2008 Roadster. The side mirror controls just stopped working while the window switches still worked fine, and the mirrors were stuck folded in like yours. He pulled the switch unit out and it was actually pretty easy, just gently pried it up from the door panel.
While he was waiting for the new switch to arrive, he managed to get the mirrors unfolded by wiggling the connector and making sure it was plugged in tight. That let him drive it safely until the new part came in.
Hopefully yours will be just as easy once the new switch shows up.

Just an update on my door modules. I was able to source a used door module from a recommended parts supplier in the UK. I installed it yesterdsy by first disconnecting the battery (about 45m-1hr) when i finished installing and reconnecting everything i did the relearn procedure and my passenger side window worked correctly but my drivers side did not. My understanding is if I replace the drivers door module with the same module part number, which I did, it should work right? I'm confised now. Did i not disconnect the battery long enough? Is the replacement drivers side module faulty? Is it the door latch sensors and not the module? Looks like i will need someone with an AMDS to scan it. Any thoughts or insights would be greatly appreciated.
