My A4 is in problem, any idea?
well friends I am looking for some kind of suggestions from you people as my A4 is feeling Jerk whenever I just hit the brake. Not much versed with the technical aspects of car. Your suggestions will be appreciated.
Okay friends thanks for your response. I am going to check out all these stuffs as named by you the rotor and the caliper. One of my friend has also told me that it could be also because of torn brake pad...
I have never heard of a torn brake pad. Good luck in finding out what is wrong.
Well I checked all these and you are right there is nothing wrong with the brake pad but I found the rotor has wrecked. There is also some kind of rust on the caliper. Going to replace the rotor but is the rust may also cause some problem in future ?
If you're experiencing a shuddering under braking it could be due to uneven amounts of brake pad material built up on the face of the rotor. These inconsistencies will cause the brakes to pulsate.
Turning the rotors easily fixes this. Most shops can turn rotors for $15-$20 a rotor.
You'll want to re-bed your pads to keep this from happening again.
Good luck!

We would not recommend turning the rotors on German cars. Most of these vehicles come with rotors that are made of rich iron/nickel material. Most of current cutting machines are not good enough to do the job. trust me on this. Also if the rotors are so warped, turning them won't help. Replace them when you can, with a set of pads, and do a proper initial brake in, and enjoy your car.
