Bentley FS 2009 adaptive cruise control (acc) issue
My cruise control kept getting a fault and would not function, after I scanned it turns out the front radar sensor was bad. The dealer wanted over 2k for a new one. I found a used one on eBay for $100 and installed it & aligned it myself. So my adaptive cruise control works great now. I saved a lot of money, anyone else had any acc issues?

I am having issues with my 2013 gtc cruise control just stopped working nothing, dealer asked if I had front end alignment recently, I have but think it stopped working before I had done this. How did you recalibrate the radar unit yourself? I purchased a Ross tech BCD’s hex 2 to try to get a read out of what might be an issue, however I have never used this before so I hope it’s fairly user friendly. I have been doing a lot of research about what the parameters are on the adjustments if that ends up being the issue any help or advise would be welcomed. Thanks much Martin

I made the alignment myself, after installing it leave bottom mesh grilles off, clear fault codes.
Take car for ride turn on cruise control if your car starts slowing down with a car in the lane next to you, go back home and use the 3 adjustment screws to center the eye ball straight, get back in the car and test again. I adjusted it about 3xs before I got it perfect. Drive in a 3 lane highway and stay in center lane, if it’s off alignment your car will begin to slow down and respond to vehicles in the left or right lane. For example if your is in the center lane and you pull close to a car in the right lane and your car starts slowing down go home and adjust the sensor eye ball more to the left. And test it again. You will probably not have an issue with cars on your left, being the sensor is located on the bottom right side of our cars. Best wishes!

I was going to suggest to buy the VW Phaeton radar it looks like it will work. I have bought a seat control, thrust arms, oil filters etc for a phaeton and the parts fit. Go phaeton parts and update us all.
