Totally didn't know that. I didn't realize you already had the Ben Hur, although I should have, since you showed us a picture a long time ago.
You're going to have an incredible setup. If I would have put my own labor into it, I would have been able to finish for $4,500 or so, but I also think I would have a bunch of leftover parts, a center console that didn't fit together right and a broken wiring harness on the Ben Hur.
Plus, I have no way of making custom speaker mounts. Can't be hard, but I saw a CNC router in your background.
I admit, I have ZERO ability to justify seven grand for a stereo. None.
My choice was to buy a Maserati or a Bentley. The Maserati has no way of updating the infotainment, the Bentley has the Ben Hur. So once I made that choice, I was on the crazy train to stupid expenditures.
I replaced the third brake light too; even the independant was like, "Why?" I dunno, I want it to look right.
Your doing the right the best that works for you and Im sure the system will sound great once it all done, as you say if the stock amp dosent do it for you then you can think of changing it. Yes I have a lot of pics in the post. I have an engineering back ground Im used to it, and a good friend of mine lets me use his workshop to mock up parts I need ...
Yah 7k is a lot of money, I have no idea how much all this has cost me but I'll sit down once its all done and put pen to paper and a glass of Rum and knock myself out ...

Hello Everyone ... Not been able to add much on this post waiting for parts and the old health is playing up, but soon I'll be on the system and post more, Im hoping to video some of it and when its all done so you guys can listen to the sounds ...
These Baffles are the best things you can buy, they will protect the speaker from water running down the window and drive the sound outwards, there are ones on the market that are compleatly sealed but I don't see the point with these as there is no place for the air to move around from the speaker, buy the open ones as in the pic ...

Installed the Bass speaker Rear Doors, that all the speakers installed, all is left is to contact the amps and disconnect the stock amp and I'm good to go, I'll try and take a video of the wiring from the new amps to wiring loom on the stock amp and the sound system when complete ...
Rico, my friend......Wow, you're doing an amazing job on this system! I cannot comprehend all that you've done, but bet it sounds amazing!
Hello Steve (BWings) Im better haven't been to great these past few weeks but I try and do a little here and there. How are you my friend hope all is well ...
Yes it sound great just on the stock amp can't wait when I connect the new amps to the new speakers, Im not looking for blasting it while driving down the road, you know bum bum bum Lol, Its all about the sound and listening to all the beats and instruments, Im a jazz guy and love the sax and piano ...
Ive changed all the speaker wasn't easy espesally the rear door bass speakers had to make up new rings to space it out so it doesn't hit the window mechanism, did all the sound proofing in the doors and rear panels, put the volume up can't hardly hear a sound outside ...
