Yes I do understand what you're trying to achieve, but as I mentioned how are you going to choose the apps you want to use while driving. For instance my vehicle has a touch screen & voice activation, I believe you still have the old infotainment system which consists of an analog screen which is not touch operated.
Please post a pic of the unit Id like to see the plugs & connections or even the operating manual in PDF would be great ...

Hello Rajabf
Is this the unit or something like this unit you are installing in your car, if so yes it will display the content of your screen on your phone but you will not able to control the information on the car screen without picking up or touching your phone which in return would be pointless as when your driving the last thing you want to do is play around with your mobile phone, don't know about where you live but here in the UK its illegal to handle the phone while driving, but most importantly very dangerous, you need to go digital ...

Yes

Yes that's it, its illegal to handle a phone here also, but for me I'll set a navigation or YouTube or Playlist. and go. My phone forwards my calls directly when I am in the car to the car unit. So that's what I am looking to achieve.

The second av input

I was reading up doing my research on the av inputs when I can across a post that stated that av 2 only supports audio. If that turns out to be true, I am looking at bluetooth devices that power from 12v and have audio out. The device has to serve one purpose only media steaming no phone. Any idea of such a device exists?

Good Afternoon Rajabf, Your going the wrong way about this as Ive mentioned to you before, Your trying to incorporate digital equipment on a analog system, In the long run at some point you going to have to go digital. Yes there all these devices that do this & the other but they all work on digital equipment, the Bentley infotainment isn't as simple as people may think. Im telling you from even what Ive learned over the past 2 months, from Johnny, TeamJones & BWings. I understand saving the pennies is cool but sometimes one has to look at the bigger picture. Put if I could do what I was out to do by a simple gadget I wouldn't have had to upgrade the head unit, The rest of the stuff doesn't need doing unless like me your all out on making life complicated ... LOL

My aim is not going digital

I am not trying to go digital and my target is not to use my infotainment system for control. All I am trying to do is have access to the av1 for mirroring and av2 for music streaming from my phone. As for phone calls i am using the cars phone.

Would you just remind me the year of your car, Im sure you mentioned it in your post, Looking into the system for you, just to recap, you need to use av1 & av2.
The unit your going to be using uses RCA connectors in & out, this is your problem there are no RCA connectors on the analog system, Im trying to find a way to wire up this unit on the stock system but its going to take time. Are you good with electronics & mainly vehicle wiring. I may not even be able to do this its a long shot, Do you have the wiring diagram of your audio system, if not go onto my post you will find them there. if you cant locate them I'll send you a copy. The unit I posted yesterday is that the unit you are installing, if so I'll find the wiring diagram for it, I will post you a wiring harness you will have to makeup or have one made ...

It's an 2005 gt

I am good with electronics, i build my own drones, so I am handy with a soldering iron and wiring mainly. There should be a 54pin connection to the a av tuner if my memory serves me right and I'll need to tap into the third row of pins.
