Key refurbishment

My google-fu is weak. Is there a write up for key disassembly? A couple of my buttons have stopped working and before I charge in...

TIA

If you just do search for 'bentley key fob repair' you'll see a list of youtube videos and other options including places that'll do it for you.

Tried that, but not quite what I'm looking for. The buttons are failing.

Might just send it off

Thankyou! Yes.

Having done some more research, I'm going to send it off for £146 and get it done by experts!

Yes! Mea culpa. I shall get it all done at once. I have two fobs one of which is in worse condition although more buttons work

I'll get that one fully refurbed then retire the one that's in better nick with a hanging loop.

Cheers

My switches for the buttons fell off, ended up replacing and re-soldering them and it worked fine. There was a scary moment when I dropped the thing and a tiny component fell off, but everything still works.

It was the day of a snowstorm this winter, I figured I'd give that pesky lock button a go. Even though I have keyless entry, I like my cars sorted.

Turned into a 3 hour job and a few moments where I thought I might be out the $900 or whatever it costs for a new key and programming.
