Good morning from Spain colleagues. I'm a bit worried with my GT Speed because I want to take a trip around this time and I don't know if I have to change the battery in my car. I have to say that everything works, so far correctly and is continuously undergoing maintenance with ctek charger but I do not know how to interpret what the charger tells me and also I get the battery symbol on the dashboard in red, I do not know if when the battery This new one usually appears in green since I bought the car used a year ago and I never noticed.
Can you guide me or tell me something if I have to worry? I have to say that a few weeks ago I went with the same question to a workshop that fixes other cars for me and they told me that the voltage of this one appeared correctly.
Is the red battery symbol just on startup and then goes away in a few seconds? That's what mine does and seems to be normal. There is no green icon for the battery.
¿El símbolo rojo de la batería se está iniciando y luego desaparece en unos segundos? Eso es lo que hace el mío y parece ser normal. No hay un icono verde para la batería.
Oh, thank you very much!! I thought that by appearing in red it was warning me that I should change the battery. I suppose the Ctek charger would give me some kind of warning if it was wrong.
I think I remember that CatmanV2 and Darkgreen had Ctek, maybe they can know if what the charger says is all correct.
Thank you very much again.

Reason: Fix QUOTE
One more thing you may not know is the emergency start procedure - if the battery goes flat and will not start the car, you can join the right-hand battery to supplement the process by twisting the key all the way left, and then back right to start the car. Gives me a lot of peace of mind as these cars are finicky with batteries.
Hello @Pablen84 ,
I agree as stated by Sam, the light is only red, no green, and it should go out once the engine is running.
But, what I see as far as your CTEK setting, it is wrong, you have it on "SUPPLY" as per your picture, it should be set on normal, amg/snowflake, or recond, not supply, as supply gives straight power with no variation and would cook the battery over time, supply is only used when switching out a battery if you choose to use it, or when you have a dead or no battery in place and you want to power up some minor accessories.
Thank you all very much for your response, it is very helpful.
If it is true that my red indicator on the car panel practically disappears at the moment of starting.
Regarding Ctek, as I see in the instructions I interpreted that Supply is a maintenance load, like what is usually seen in car dealerships, or that is what I intended. Have it continuously connected to the current and from time to time it just keeps itself. My battery has not been empty at any time that I know of to put it in Recond mode.

As long as that red light goes out after starting, it's all good. If it comes on when driving, you have a problem
For your C-Tek: Press 'Mode' until the light below AGM is lit and you'll be good. Well much better than you are now.
