07 CGT with some electrical issue
Hello All.
Help!
Just purchased a 2007 GT Diamond. Love the carbon brakes.
The message "start car battery low" comes on every time even though the battery (left side) is 12.5 volts.
I just replaced all key batteries.
The clock always goes back to 12 noon every start and starts timing from then. So if you drive for an hour it will say 1 o'clock. Then when you restart it goes back to 12 noon. The windows have to be reset every time.
It's as if the constant power (with the car off) is not working.
Things that don't work with the engine NOT running:
Keyless start.
Remote door lock/unlock.
Outside trunk button.
Trunk close button.
Windows don't return to all the way up after closing the door.
Soft close.
As soon as you start the car all those things work fine. I drove it 500 miles home so nothing "reset".
Thanks!

Gentelmen,
The right side battery is on its way out. That battery is dedicated to starting the vehicle.
Left hand battery is an AGM. The smaller right hand battery is a std. acid flood battery.
The voltage drop has caused stored trouble codes . We use Ross Tech VCDS to analyze and erase trouble codes. VCDS is not the same as the obd 2 port testers sold at car parts stores. Look up online Ross Tech.
Replace both batteries for peace of mind. Keep the car on a battery tender. There's a cigarette type lighter port above the left side battery which is for charging.
Read past threads on this topic. This issue comes up about as often as suspension problems.

I checked the battery after the 500 mile drive and it was 12.5 volts.
This morning it was....1.5.
Battery I pulled out wasn't even an AGM.
All better now!
Now to fix the wing and the evap drain!
Sweet! The tonic for these cars is new batteries. And going forward you may want to hook the car up to a maintainer if not driving it for a few days. There's a convenient outlet in the trunk for that. We all like the CTEK maintainer with the cigarette lighter adapter.
