E46 M3 a dated car?
I drive car's for how they make me feel inside, it's should be special like that, the M3 does it for me in every way!
some people man online... really do need to get in touch with reality and reassess life as a whole.
what a dumb **** post. so if the dude saw the same hs kid with his hat turned backwards enjoying a nice car, let's say a challenge stradale, the guy doesn't want it because it's now been touched by some kid enjoying life?

I, for one, enjoy wearing backwards hats and bumping music in hundred thousand dollar cars; and I am not in high school.
If that is a sign of immaturity then I do not think I will ever be mature.
I have a freind that says the same thing about M3's (with highschool kids driving them, and "they are everywhere" and blah blah blah). How many high school kids really drive M3's?
My area is filthy rich and I still dont see many kids rocking them. Even the E36 owners are college grads.

It "may" be everywhere because you live in the SF bay area perhaps? Around here a lot of cars tend to give the illusion they are common.........but go to 90% of America including even major cities and the e46 m3 is not as common as you think!
Living here for 7+ years, I don't see the big deal about a F-car anymore but in my hometown they still turn heads quite a bit.

Is this true? I thought it was about 5-5.5 second 0-60.
I think E46 M3 is dated especially the interior which is full of cheap painted trims. SMG is also a lousy paddle shift by today's standard.
However, this is not the biggest problem with M3. Big issue that I have with M3 is that they are everywhere... Waaay too mass produced.
Fast car that is practical and solid. Not knock on it but just not my cup of tea.

I agree that is true with any luxury marquee. I would be willing to bet that less then 20% of Americas population drives vehicles worth over $40,000. So while it may be common to see a dozen S550's in any major U.S city it's only somewhat of an illusion compared to how many there actually are because of how they're mostly centered in one area.

The new M3 just doesn't do anything for me either. I find myself wallking up to one just to check out the CF roof and then walking away.
