You should try pushing your X5M in the corners and actually the track. I was surprised whern I followed and overtook 996 911s and was not tooo far behinda few laps of 997. I was very impressed by the X5M and that was esp. the handling.

The interior was OK, but dash was not leather like my truck, although I hear that for an extra $3800, it can be added as a factory option. Ride was Ok but no better than my ML. Handling seems crisper than my ML, but to be honest, its a truck so the ML handles good enough for me. The iDrive has a nice high resolution screen and its stereo is better than mine. However, I am not sure it's a better SUV for my purpose than my ML63. Maybe its the newness of the engine compared to the broken-in engine of my ML, but my truck seems quicker off the line by a noticeable margin. Maybe the ML is lighter?

I am going to take a look at the Cayenne Turbo S and see. I really want to like the X5 since I really like BMW's electronics. Maybe I need to drive a different one in case that particular one was too new or not tuned properly.

We'll see.

AceRothstein415 is infamous around these parts
IMO sickest SUV out, until maybe the new Cayenne Turbo comes out. I have never driven an ML63 but have the older ML55 and imagine they are similar the newer model is just a couple notches better in everything but figure genuine feel is the same. I have driven a CTT as well, and the bmw is my fave, but I am a huge bmw nut so I may be biased. I've only driven the x6m, but they are pretty much the same as the x5 just different look, SUVs don't need to be this fast lol. And as for the SRT8, haven't driven one, been in one, liked it, very fast ride, but not nearly on the same level as the other vehicles discussed here. Another thing about the SRT8 that renders it completely useless in my mind are the center exhausts, look sick, but no trailer hitch, you can get a hitch on the other 3.
