The plan for this car is year round, daily usage.
I can't say that there's a preference of a tip over manual cuz this Porsche purchase is the first. So no previous experience to base it off of. I did test drive a manual base during the summer and it was quite enjoyable (nice & light clutch) but there was no heavy traffic to deal with. The only other Porsche I drove was a 1999 base tip, so the comparison really wasn't apples to apples.

Since it's going to be a daily driver, the amount of time spent on city roads will be greater than the time spent at a track/autocross event...hence the tiptronic.

First off, congrats on the new wheels. Where is the car at right now? I think you're bananas for buying a tip, but I'm a purist at heart.

I have no plans to replace or even upgrade my car, even though I'm growing pretty tired of it. I only do about 100km a week now so it's low priority..

I too Live in good ol' Edmonton, Work at the VW/Porsche dealer ship, no porsche to call my own, Aircooled enthusiest (nothing against watercooled), just have my Beetle to get me by!!!!

Probably cant make it, i am the evening parts tech and we work till past midnight, Unless you are having it at Norden, i will be around anyhoo!
