958 CTT tune recommendations

Hey Guys,

I have been a long time reader of these forums but never posted here until now. I recently purchased the VR tune box and had high hopes from what I read about them. However, after 3 different VR tune boxes and 2 wire looms my Cayenne Turbo would not react correctly to the tune (drop in boost and 3 second delay between shifts). After a month of working with the company I purchased my tune from I was finally told they had no solutions for my problems in the near future so I ended up returning.

I'm hoping to get some recommendations from CTT owners with real world experience. I don't care about price as long as it's within reason (4k-) as I want something that gives me a performance boost without any drive ability or install issues.

Thanks in advance!

I have a GIAC tune on my CTTS. Absolutely love it and would recommend it to everyone. When I'm not heavy footed, I actually see a slight improvement in fuel economy, but where is the fun in that. The only other tune I know of is EVOMS, but that is a piggy back system.

PM me if I can help you out on the GIAC tune, as we've flashed a lot of Panamera/Cayenne customers on 6speed. We'll take care of you!

I will definitely call when a get some time. I briefly looked through your website and I'm interested in Some other "go fast" parts you offer too.

We have released a tuning kit that we have had great success with.

Originally we had used a similar system to tune the McLaren MP4-12C. Once we realized what a versitile system we had, we designed tunes and harnesses to work for our 991TT, Panamera TT, and Cayenne TT customers.

Take a look:

Unfortunately your experience is all too common when it comes to piggyback tuning units on the newer Porsche ECU's. The factory ECU is becoming smarter and smarter and unfortunately in a lot of cases, the ECU detects the adjusted signals from the piggyback and eventually compensates. Most of the time that results in actual decreased performance.

The only true way to properly flash the 958 Cayenne Turbo would be to use the GIAC software flash. Which dealer did you purchase the car from? PM or email me if you want any help coordinating the tune...I'd be happy to help.
