2015 MF Steering wheel on 2014
NN I meant I bought the wheel and put it on the car without doing anything else. Everything was ok except the multifunction buttons didn't work, no PSM failure.
I have all the bit now to do the proper conversion but I'm hesitant if you still get a PSM failure.
My car went in to have the work done but the tech got scared of the liability and put it all back together again. Unfortunately I then had PSM, chassis, PDCC, stop start, and headlight control failure. They've ordered a new clock Spring to try and sort it out. After all that I'll just be back to square one!

))))You need new wheel, new spring-clock unit and new levers part. Then you have to adopt all this, using PIWIS. And vice-versa, if you put old (original) stearing wheel, you shall adopt it by PIWIS.
What was OK? You could move the new wheel left and right? It goes without saying...

The reason is that it's electronic in conjunction with the headlight. You push for high beam, the lever returns to the center position. You pull the lever back, fine high beam signaling. Now pushing will not let the high beam stay on.
You need to disassemble the old high beam lever get the high beam lever internals and swap it with the new one. It's not complicated. But if not done is a pain in the A*** to go back after putting everything back together to do this.
Original set up fixed with a replacement clock Spring, so now I'm back to square one. The tech definitely doesn't want to touch the upgrade to 2015 now so all a huge waste of time. I need to find somebody in London who is capable of doing it
crap that's bad. Sorry to hear that Gtrust. It would be easier to try and find someone you know that owns a shop or has a PIWIS. I know is too much to ask but it'll be the way to scratch the hardest part of the process.

Nope that's the 15-16 clockspring and rear unit (levers). The old clockspring will not work with the new steering wheel. You'll just have a working wheel with paddle shifters and no MF at all
, plus a christmas tree on the dash (PSM, Auto Start/Stop, Etc.. Etc..).

I'm trying to find another tech to do the install for me but it sounds like only the Russian connection can sort the PSM issue?
Serg, NN, is the PSM issue usually intermittent like amablemiguels? Or is it permanently on? Is there any way the fix canbe done remotely? Thank

Gtrust, in my case PSM error came and went without any noticeable system. I would say that in 65-70% of engine starts the error was not there. I even found the way to erase the error without any instruments: if when I started the car the error came, I stopped the engine, waited 3-5 seconds and started again; after this the error always came back but after 100-200 meters of the car movement the error went, especially if during those 100 meters I made few turns. That worked in 90% of the cases. Following that "erase" the error could come back only after 5-6 new starts of the engine (I used to keep the notes so the record was 9 engine starts without any errors). Then the error came again and it was a pain.
As I said before, the Russian technician, whom I invited here to Cyprus, fixed the issue permanently by the hack reprogramming of the ABS unit within 15-20 minutes. I don't think they can do it remotely and for sure they won't tell us the exact trick as it is their know-how.
Probably you can invite them to London though. Especially if in your case you need not only the programming, but also physical installation which "my" technician was ready to do for me when he came to my place, but in my case there was no need for it.

Thank you NN, so it is a problem that is annoying rather than anything else. I don't want to drive the family around with no PSM.
Unless the Russian is going to be in Lobdon it's going to get crazy expensive unfortunately. Db you have his contact details and I can see if it's even possible
