Well for starters, as long as it's under warranty being able to return it to stock to fight bogus denials is worth it's weight in gold. I've been modding vehicles long enough that I've had my share of run ins with dealers trying to deny claims due to completely unrelated modifications (which is against US law, but most people don't know/understand that so they can get away with it in many cases). Even here in this forum we had a Bluespark user where their dealer was trying to deny the claim on a seat memory issue due to the Bluespark. It happens and it's a pain in the ***.

I have also been on the wrong end of pulling something from a used car (e.g. radio) only to find a rats nest of wiring hacks. So while I intend to keep my P!g for a long time, I prefer the clean and easily reversible approach so that I'm not viewed as one of those previous owners. Pulling the pins and reseating them in the new plug fits the clean part, but if they don't have the full knowledge (e.g. the wiring diagrams and older plug) it still leaves them in a mess.

And of course at the end of the day, it's my car and I can do the modifications as I see fit.

Regardless of if it is done by cutting the harness, swapping the plug by removing the pins, or building an adapter, the same basic need for the pin outs on the plugs remains the same though.

Serg how are you my friend.. Yes.. On the highway back home right now... Just airbag light. Yesterday I had PSM on but I figured out it was the old steering cable that was causing the issue since I left it with a broken connector hanging. Already fixed it and light went off as soon as I restarted the cayenne. Remember, my wheel came off a crashed 2015 Cayenne that's why I don't have the airbag yet but it already arrived at home.. Just waiting for the new steering cable. One of my employees is driving. Name: image-3653268873.jpg

airbag cable and connectors.. 95B-971-388-B Wire Harness.. The thing is that this new airbag when deployed the connector behind it melt, making you buy a new airbag and harness. For people that don't know it'll be a brand new complete steering wheel. Ouch!!

Do you know the part number for the new clockspring? I have the 2015 lever arms already and think the clock Spring I need is 95b953568c but it's not completely clear.

If you have the wiring sequencing/diagram I'm complete.

This wheel is such a huge improvement on the old one. Really nice looking and gets rid of those horrible tiptronic buttons.

That's great thanks. That part number is for the combo switch (levers and clockspring). I already have the levers, I'm looking for the clockspring part number. There seem to be only 2 options with the facelift part number (95B), one has heated steering wheel the other doesn't. I guess that's because you couldn't buy a non multifunction wheeled cayenne after the facelift.

Appreciate the help, if you're ever in London I owe you a drink

jejejejeje thanks.. Just get the corresponding Clockspring.... If your cayenne came with heated function and you buy the 2015 MF steering with the heated option then no problem. If you had the option and got a non heated wheel still no problem, on the PIWIS just disable the heated function and that's it..

Gtrust,

Clockspring only, non heated

Part Notes: MODULES & SENSORS, W/O HEATED WHEEL : 95B-953-568-B

Clockspring only, heated

Part Notes: MODULES & SENSORS, W/HEATED WHEEL : 95B-953-568-C

This parts are the same for the 2015-16 Cayenne and Macan.

REMEMBER... REMEMBER... REMEMBER

DO NOT THROUGH AWAY YOUR OLD LEVERS, check my recent posts to know why. You'll need to swap the old high beam lever with the new one. Otherwise you'll lose high beam function. 2011-2014 Cayennes do not have electronic high beam.
