New guy checking in w/2016 Cayenne S e-hybrid

Hey everyone,

Just picked up my new Cayenne, very happy to have found this site. Thinking of getting the xpel ultimate wrap done, was originally planning on doing hood, front bumper, mirrors and door cups - dealer actually didn't think hood was necessary - he said for 911 definitely do hood, but on a Cayenne high up enough not to worry. Thoughts?

Specs on the car -
2016 Cayenne S e-hybrid, Moonlight Blue/Black, Premium Plus, Anthracite Birch, RS Spyder 20" wheels, 7.2kw Onboard Charger.

As for why the e-hybrid - my daily driver (long commute), love the fact I can have AWD, Performance, Luxury and 40+ mpg all in one beautiful wrapper.

Good to "meet" everyone.

Johnny Mo

Congrats! I did my full hood, front bumper, mirrors and door edges. Also recommend doing a small strip on top of the rear bumper to avoid scratches from loading. That piece is very easy, my shop did it at no extra charge.

how long is your long commute? I drive about 50 miles per day mixed. 16 or so on battery only. I always leave it in sport mode when not using battery and am heavy footed.

I can concur with Robotpedir that after about 1300 miles my average mpg is 36.

I am 50 miles each way, having driven a plug in hybrid before I have learned not to be so heavy footed, but I suspect the performance nature of this vehicle will tempt me on many occasions.

I'm not so sure I will play the mpg game as religiously as I did in my Fusion, but it will be interesting to see how close to the 47mpge I can get.

Congrats! I have had my S-E-Hybrid for 1 year now.
My fuel economy is average 5.1L/100 km or about 47mpg (US)
My commute is only 5 miles (+/-) each way, so I am able to run on electric only

I highly recommend the rear bumper by the hatch being covered- I have the same and it has saved a couple of scratches for sure.

What tires are those? Mine are goodyear 20" and I am not too happy with the tire noise. Any thoughts on yours?

Hey Tilley,

I am definitely planning on top of rear bumper as well, leaning away from the door cups though - my buddy thinks it may be too visible and ultimately not really offer any real protection anyway...although I am pretty sure my wife could use it being there.

The tires are Continentals, they seem fine right now - only 400 miles under my belt so far though. Will post back as more time/mileage passes.

I don't think you really need the wrap, you can do the ceramic pro coating..
BTW what a stunner.
