Dieslegate question (current CD owner)

I assume other CD owners have received a few emails regarding the settlement and I was wondering if you guys were doing anything with them.

One email was a PDF with information about a Class Action suit and it seems like all the correspondence is referring back to www.vwcourtsettlement.com with is the Volkswagen/Audi/Porsche 3.0L Diesel Emissions Settlement Program website. The Porsche press release also has a link to the same site (http://press.porsche.com/news/release.php?id=1013)

Anyone know if I have to register there to be eligible for any sort of restitution payment and/or buyback? Or should I expect some sort of communication directly from Porsche - without having to register somewhere - when everything is figured out?

BenCD is an unknown quantity at this point
Go to the 3.0L part of the settlement website and register/enter your VIN# and whatever other information they want. They will take it from there and you just wait for the $$$ to roll-in.

Fed Ex delivered my first installment check yesterday, now waiting for what the fix will be, and waiting for the other half of the settlement. The whole process was fairly easy!

If you elected to receive a check it takes about 10 days to receive it via Fed Ex. If you elected direct deposit I think it arrives in about 3 business days.

I do not know anyone receiving anything close to $16k. I took delivery on July 30, 2015 and thought I was a shoe-in for close to that high number.

You are right, I went back and looked up the 2013-2015 Porsche Cayenne figures and they are between $8200 and $10,200. The $16,000 was for certain 2016 Cayenne Diesels and I am not sure that many of those made it out of the dealers.

I'm being compensated $11,325.04 and I have 2016 cayenne diesel. Wonder if it depended upon options on the vehicle.

not that $2500 is small change but in Porsche dollars it is.

I spoke to Porsche Settlement customer service yesterday and I guess they are waiting for EPA/CARB to approve the fix. They have until 11/8 to say yes or no to the fix.. If no, then VW can ask up to three 30 day extensions (90 days max).. Every time they ask for an extension, we get $500 (so $1500 if all 3 extensions are used)..

Anyways, thought i would post because its been quiet for a while on this topic.

If they dont agree to a fix, then i heard that they may be offering to buy back the cars..
