DI Water

I am seriously thinking about getting a CR Spotless, researching the threads on 6 speed it seems as if it does a good job. I presently have a water softener. I know weight wise the sodium in soft water weighs about half of the Mg & Ca in hard water after the ion exchange, but I think the ion exchange is 1 to 1. Would there be any difference in resin life running hard water of soft water thru the DI unit? I think it would be the same.

I currently use the Mr. Clean gun to rinse the car and it does a good job if you make sure and rinse it well, it just takes too long, water flow is low.

Are there any other systems available like the CR spotless?

Thanks
Frank

There are other systems Frank, but the CR is the only one that works. Having a soft water system running prior to the the di does not change the parts per million, PPM, count. It only means you have Na, sodium, and Cl, chlrode molecules instead of Mg, magnesium, and Ca, calcium molecules. I'm going to have a group buy coming in the next few days. Are you interested?

Grab a CR system from Moe - you won't be disappointed! There's too much pollen where I live to air dry, but with the DI water all I have to do is grab 2 corners of my mf drying towel and pull it across the surface. No pressure at all.

When I did that with untreated water, the towel would leave water trails and spots behind. The DI water gets sucked right up, no water trails or spots (unless the towel is compeltely soaked, of course). I don't understand why DI makes this difference, but I have zero doubt that it does make the difference.

CR spotless is the way to go. I got one a couple of weeks ago and was very skeptical and now I am a believer. My house has a water softener built in but I don't know if it helps or not.

Or you can just go down to your local water treatment store and buy a DI unit. That's what I did.

Once you start using the CR or any other DI that works you will never want to wash your car without one again.
