Advice before purchase
Looking into getting a red F360 Modena 2003 w/ F1.
This will be my first F-Car, and first exotic.
My question is, will this car be regulated to driving up and down long stretches of highway? I have heard from friends that driving this car anywhere besides "flat, and nice" roads will just be annoying because of all the scraping, and gawkers (people gawking at the car, or trying to touch it at the restaurant parking lots).
I know this shouldn't bother me, but I don't want to buy a car that will scrape everywhere I go, and attract too much unwanted attention.

I don't mind attention, but it's the "unwanted" attention that I want to know if it's a problem.
I had a BMW and even with that car, I'd get gum put on the car door handle, etc.
I can live with the gawkers, but the vandals really irk me.

FYI- color shouldnt make enough of "price range" difference. I had a Yellow F355 and never had a single problem. I parked at malls, in center city Philly, on city streets etc...
Red says "Ive got a Ferrari"
Yellow says " F-You I ve got a Ferrari!"
Friend of mine said that, thought it was funny

Haha, brilliant choice! Fly yellow is a fantastic color. We also have a 355, but it's black. We've never had a problem of people touching or vandalizing it. Also the only time scraping comes into play is on dips, and as long as you're moving slowly and being careful it really shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Get horseshoes (skidplates) and just drive with a little care and you won't have problems scraping. Speedbumps aren't an issue, but you have to be able to take a driveway at an angle. For example, you can't make a left turn across a street into a driveway.
Note this is based on driving a Stradale (which is lower than a regular 360) and a 430 (which is higher). Of course, I have essentially the same problem with the chin spoiler on my 996 C4S.

Ferrari's always attract attention. So what.
As to scraping, it can sometimes happen but there are a few things that can be done. The car with factory height is 4.99" front and 5.75" rear. You have to be aware of the limits and control your road hazards.
If excessive scraping in your area you can slightly raise the vehicle by means of the coilover adjustments.
You can also do what I did and put newer and slightly higher capacity front springs. It prevents some of the front end movement and possible scraping at highway speeds and it ads tremendous additional handling and body roll control.
Your biggest problem will be dealing with the F1 quirks- strange happenings, popping into neutral, and low clutch life.
I'd advise to look for a 6 speed.
