Racedeck issue

Now that the temps in my 2300 sq ft garage have hit 80 degrees, my Race deck is starting to buckle. There are 6 cars and three motorcycles so the product must expand under heat. If you leave the garage door open and the sun hits it directly it does the same thing. Has anyone else had this problem?? I mean do I need to empty my garage to get it to go back down??

Sorry to hear about this expansion issue after the installation. There are 2 1000lbs cabinets aside from the vehicles that are sitting on the Racedeck and my 2nd floor storage has Racedeck that is expanding also. Now, i'm looking at a multi day problem with additional labor.
I would suggest that you boldly post this on your website.
Thank you for your response.

I'm having the same issue. It would have been nice to know this before laying the tiles.

I had the same problem and I wound up pulling it all up and throwing it away. Probably not the smartest decision but I as so sick of trimming and trying to make it work I just wanted it gone.

I'm thinking very seriously about installing actual Porcelain Tile... It's durable, long lasting, and washes easily. Buy non slip, and you can make your own designs. Should last the life of your home, if done properly... Oh and Yes it's STRONG

I'm in Phoenix, with swiss trax flooring. Never had this kind of issue and I've had my flooring 8 years or so.

I had the same issue. They stated I need a bigger gap (which is ugly) to allow it to expand. Did that. Then the floor would move. I have a huge three car garage but when pulling cars in and out the floor would move slightly so then when it got hot it would start to buckle again.

I got so tired of it I sold the flooring and bought Swisstrax. It is WAY better. I didn't have to put any gap at all and installed it right to the edge and I made it through this hot summer without one issue of buckling.

Good luck on your fix.

To avoid buckling during the summer, I tried everything that I can think of based on recommendations on various forums. Perhaps only option left is to dump them away and try something different.
