Does anyone here know what type of battery porsche put in it? AGM? Flooded? Gel? M/Y 2005

regular porsche battery?

pretty sure its not the new lil-ion battery

I was gonna call the dealer, but I'm about 90% sure their answer will be to "bring it in". I'll prolly just start taking the car apart and install leads for a "real" trickle charger/minder unlike the "faux" charger Porsche supplies.

As far as the link, I found that too, thanks. I just don't trust that the odyssey battery is the same as stock just because it replaces it. I suppose I could email odyssey though.

The Odyssey PC1200MJT is just a generic auto/truck dry cell type battery with a metal jacket. It's listed as "suitable" replacement...prolly not a "direct" replacement.

I did find this photo though. It looks just like a normal flooded type battery to me. Cool.
