Advice/Comments Please

OK, so I've had my GT3 for several days now and I notice that when I first start out, getting into 3rd gear is VERY hard to accomplish. Sometimes, it won't go at all, but after the car is warmed up, it's OK.
As background: The car had 7662 gentle miles on it before I got it.

So, you guys who've had your cars a while: Is this normal?
Will it "break in" ??

TIA,
Mr. B

boom boom

Hi!

when i start mine after week or two in the garge with cold oil in gearbox, you can hear "knocing" like Glock click. Shifting is hard and tuf, but that dont have to bother you when its going smooth after warming of oil. Its normal!

Just be the man and shift it! :-)

Yeah, I am shifting with gusto, but it's tough in the beginning.

Do you happen to have th factory short shifter? If so that is a known issue that when the car is cold, it might be a little difficult to get into certain gears...

I'm not sure. I think I do, but I'll have to confirm with the dealership.

if you got regular mobil 1 75-90 or what it is transmission oil instead of OEM oil in the gearbox then your gears will be a bit difficult to move while oil is cold. but it is not a bug, it`s a feature.

Mine is the same way. It gets better once the car is fully warmed up.

Thats happening with reason, becaouse gearbox is producing big temp on track and oil is functional only for higher temperatures. If gearbox is going smooth when the oil is cold, then you have to rechange it as its burns or old..or simply its crap of oil inside :-)

Like utkinpol wrote, its feature not bug!
