Any recommendations on 2-way radios? I need to buy a pair instead of always borrowing someone's. I was going to go with some Cobra ones with a 12-mile range...they look nice and I'm sure they would do the job. But if some of you think that one brand works much better than another then please chime in.
they had a 3 pack of motorola ones at costco. i believe they ran about $35.00 or so. not sure if they still have them, but they work great! Check them out!

You should join us at 10 and just leave when you have to in order to get back in time...
many folks did this at the last drive -- only about half or so drove that wagon trail road at the end...
You will not get as much "driving" is because we are starting later, but you will get to hang with all of us... and we will get to see you...

Hope we can meet up with you guys at the #3 Tavern in Ronald for a burger on Sunday. We should be there around noonish. You can't miss it. It's on the right side of the road in the busy little metropolis.
We figured, if were to meet at 10 at the XXX, stood around and BS'd as most would want to do and waited for a straggler or two, we'd be lucky to get to the lunch stop by 1 and we'd miss the good light for photos. Maybe next time we can join the core group.
BTW the weather is shaping up to be great. At last report there is still lots of fall color east of the mountains. Yes, I recognize the majority of you aren't into the artsy fartsy stuff and would rather just go ***** out to somewhere, but I'm trying to break in my new car and get some interesting photos in the process.

I am still in for the 10am at the XXX! I need to get some good ideas for roard to travel or if everyone still want to do the original route. I hate to ask but since I am still kinda new here I need some great ideas.

even though david isn't going, perhaps he'll know some good routes? i don't know if he's left to LV yet, but maybe it's worth shooting him over a PM? plus, there was larry's route that he posted earlier. we could follow that one, even though we are doing the 10 am?

Screw David I would never follow any of that guy's directions.
I will call and see if he has any good ideas he is in town till Saturday AM. But as for now just plan on the same as larry and jason are on.

I will for sure stop by and on Sat I am going to the bimmer meet. Like I said some of you should come on Sat as well...it will be a good time. I got my 2-way radios yesterday from bestbuy too!
