New Panamera 2016 edition

Hi folks, I just got a new 2016 panamera, I'm loving it. I have a few questions though. The car is brand new, when parking in my garage, there's this vibration and shudder when I have the steering turned all the way. Is this normal. I experienced this on an xjl I owned 4 years ago. Going to go to the desert tomorrow, but wanted to see if other folks experience this.

Mines does the same thing. Usually does it when the idle is low. Thought it was a powersteering issues at first.

FYI

it's not a good idea to hold your steering at full lock for any prolonged period of time. If you have to keep the wheels turned that far for a period of time, back off just a bit from the full lock position.

Thanks. Just wanted to see if this effect was normal on these cars. Never experienced this on my 750 or my wife's A8.

floor

Same thing happens in my garage, check the floor, it might just be the floor being slippery, at least, that's what I think happens to my wheels when turning.

I think it's cold tires.

This is a well known issue with cold tires on full lock especially with pirelli p zero . Lots of questions on this on the 991 forum. I have a 991 with exactly this issue but in winter when i run my continental winter tires... No noise.

The problem is that at full lock and with the camber at caster angles being what they are, the tire wants to scrub laterally rather than roll. The degree of scrubbing can very with tread pattern, rubber compound and the effects of ambient and tire temperatures. When you fell this occurring, simply back off a bit from full lock allowing the tire to roll easier.
