Steering wheel vibrations after spacers installed

Just installed some wheel spacers from Suncoastparts to Sport wheels, 7mm to the rear and 15mm at front. I noticed significant vibrations to the steering wheel after. Anyone had this issue? Maybe 15mm up front is too much......

If you have vibration on steering after you put spacers on, and vibration is gone after your spacers are removed, I would check if:
- you have debris trapped behind the spacers
- your spacers are hubcentric
- your wheel lugs are tightened in correct sequence (star pattern, versus sequential)

Work one item at a time. Also try two spacers (do fronts, as you may be able to feel rear wheel vibrations). Try different combination of spacer pairs.
It is also possible your wheels have thrown balance weights off (could be very coincidental). Check, 99% of wheels will need weights on them to balance out the rubber density changes when tires made).
Hope this helps.

Thanks Ciaka for the thorough explanation, the only thing that I can think of is to take off the front spacers and see if they are the culprit. As there were no debris between the spacers and wheels and I did star torquing. I will report back soon.

Maybe remove the retaining screws on the spacer? Drive without them. I have 7 mm spacers with no problem

I have the 7MM/ 15MM also. No isssues. Did you get longer bolts? U should. My spacer company strongly suggested. Some will say no on the 7MM ones. Don t want to loose all those extra grabbing threads. Probably not your vibration issue but food for thought. It could be dangerous if not enough thread is engaged.
I don t have those hold screws in mine either. I just put a 20MM set on another car with no issues. Probably something not sitting right.

edit.
Bolts should make up the difference of the length of the spacer, so measure the stock bolts, then add the length of the spacer. That will give you the length of the bolts. Don't worry if it is off by a millimeter or two, but err on the side of them being longer, not shorter

The kits from Suncoastparts included longer appropriate bolts.

So I'm happy to report that the vibrations are within normal to none now. I removed the front wheels both left and right. The right side I did noticed something was off when I dry fit the wheel on hub without the bolts installed. I removed the spacer and separated the rotor from seating and sprayed compressed air all over. Then reinstalled the spacer without the retaining screws and mounted the wheel with all bolts tightened, then repeat the opposite steps with this time screwing in the retaining screws. Then retorqued all bolts at four wheels. Went for test drive, very little to no vibrations. Thanks for the input fellas.

Nothing worse than steering wheel vibration on this level of car. I've personally had issues almost every time I have installed spacers and other just get wheels or forego the spacers.
