Panamera Alarm Goes off

My 2011 Panamera alarm goes off when I open the door after locking it. My horn would usually beep but that has stopped also. I know my neighbors are tired of hearing my alarm early in the morning . Anyone else have this issue?

How is your battery charge? Is it the original battery? (mine was and after I replaced it several little things 'went away' and started working normally again)

My driver door did that and Porsche had to replace the handle and paint it

I purchased it used so I dont know what battery came with with it but the charge is fine. It locks but doesn't beep anymore and i have to immediately turn the fake key to turn off the alarm.

+1

Same exact scenario. I bought a 2011 PTT and the battery seemed fine, but I also experienced a few “little issues” including the alarm going off a few times for no reason.
I replaced the battery and everything fixed itself. When I brought the original back for the core refund I had it tested and was told it was pretty much done.

I’d definitely start with a new battery...

Good luck.

Battery tested good with 85% charge so I have no idea. I will probably pull the fuse on the alarm and just lock it up.

I would assume You need a new door handle, I took mine to the dealer and they went through all the motions and it hasn’t done it since

Just touch the inside of the rear door handle before opening the drivers. You’ll hear it unlock
