Molygen?

I'm getting ready to do my 1st oil change. I'm getting tired of dropping $500 at the dealer or $300 at my indy shop. I'm going to order an "oil change" kit from FCPEuro. I recently did my front and rear brakes and ordered from FCP without problems. My indy shop uses Liqui Moly Leichtlauf High Tech 5W-40 and I'm going to stick with this brand. FCPEuro also has a Panamera oil change kit with Liqui Moly Molygen. Anybody else tried Molygen? Any advantage? Thanks in advance!

The molygen is simply tinted so that if you were ever to have an oil leak, you can use a UV light and detect it easily. Switching over to full synthetic Liqui-moly at the 5w-40 is awesome and you'll actually notice a huge difference in engine smoothness, temp, and overall, doesnt burn through at all like the Mobil 1..... To make your oil change full proof and my secret to havin gthese panameras motor runs well, is the addition of Cerratec with your engine oil change... If you got a v8, you'll need two bottles of the cerratec.. Your engine will run quiet and as smooth and new as new... Let me know how it goes after you do it... i promise you mindblowing results

Thanks Alex! I’m going to stick with the regular 5W-40 Liqui Moly.

just did my oil pan gasket at 100k miles and although i am using Motul for some time, before that, I was using Liqui-moly with the same exact results.... And dont worry about Motul, haha, I only switched over to that because I have a huge discount with them.

also, a quick tip... Dont pour in the Cerratec right when you put in your new oil... After you did the oil change, and also driven the car long enough to make sure that the oil level is correct... only until that point, when the engine is hot, do you then pour in the cerratec, for best results! If you dump it in with the cold engine oil, theres a possibility that all of the good stuff will just get absorbed into the cotten of the filter before it could get heat soaked into the mating surfaces in the engine. If you wanna see the difference... take a video of your engine running before the oil change inside the car and outside the car and then do it after youve done everything with the cerratec and having put on a good 10 miles with the cerratec in... you'll notice a significant good difference
