Need so help with front struts and hood-Major Help needed
Ok, I just encountered 2 issues that I really need help with because my 2011 Porsche Panamera is undrivable. I am panicking!
1. my hood stopped opening. I really don’t know what happened here but when I try the hood release lever I can no longer open the hood to gain access to the engine. Is there a way to manually bypass this and get the hood opened so I can find out what the issue is?
2. I had Panamera sitting in the driveway for about 2 weeks. The front struts are now slammed to the ground and won’t refill when I turn on my car. The compressor works. I see the rear struts inflating but the fronts aren’t and don’t know what to do. Is there a way I could manually inflate them?
any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Can’t help with hood release. Suspect your front air suspension struts are leaking. Well know issue. Ciaka has done a great write up on the air suspension set up and a DIY on the strut replacement:

Stuts are expensive. If compressor is running then compressor and relay (also known issues) are working. Careful, can fry your compressor as it works overtime to try to inflate leaking struts. Good luck!

I had the hood get stuck a couple of times. If you felt the cable resistance when you pulled the release, the same feeling as when it works, carefully try to pry up on the edge of the hood. With 8 fingers on it mine popped right up, then I was able to reach the secondary release as usual.
Both front struts at the same time seems a little unusual from just sitting. I ended up leaving the triangular shaped covers off so I can easily check the condition of the top of the spring/strut. A little soapy water and observing when you turn the car on should show whether they are leaking or not.
Good luck and let us know....

I finally got around to this earlier and was able to remove the lever and check the cable there. The cable is entice but even when I pull on the cable with pliers I get some tension but know pop for the hood latch.
Is there an emergency Hood release loop for this? Seems like there has to be something in case something like this happens.
i can’t get to the struts but today when the compressor came on, it did look like it was pumping air into the strut and I was able to hear air leaking from the front right strut. Just need to get to it now.

The easier route would be if the cable got displaced under the dash.. Hope this kind of guides you.
So to replace hood release cable even fender has to be removed??
On mine Panamera hood release is still functional but I see several cracks on cable, bought new cable, was under impression that won't be a difficult job, like I did on few other cars....

I took the panamera to one toy mechanic friends who ordered a new hood latch. Such a ridiculous design. So after removal of the fender, bumper, and a bunch of other stuff, they created a little hook took to pry open the latch and release the hood. It was really a painful process. Porsche did jot design this properly. They should have also provided a manual override pull for this purpose. If you are able to release and open the hood. Release the cable asap. Fishing the van through its path shouldn't be too bad but of the hood gets stuck... that's going to be a nightmare.
Hopefully yours isn't as bad as mine. We had to completely take out the front end, left fender, wheel well liner. Then we created a makeshift tool to release the latch because a little black piece that was holding the cable snapped off on the latch unit. The Panamera has a stupid design where it doesn't have an emergency manual release.
