Custom Coding of Windows and Sunroof - 970

I’ve read about Anthony Wong here and on 6speedonline. He does some super cool 970 retrofits (turbo spoiler on a non-turbo car, ACC addition, etc.). I’ve also read he custom codes to “unlock” hidden features.

I came across this video of him showing windows down/sunroof open using the key fob unlock button and then windows closed/sunroof closed using the key fob lock button. He demonstrates this feature on a 970.1 and a 970.2:

https://youtu.be/_bhkaD64Mrk.

I’m wondering if anyone can explain (step-by-step) how to do this? I have a PIWIS 2 and presume this feature can be activated using a
PIWIS. I’m thinking the feature is hidden in the Engineering/Development mode (E mode).

Also, if anyone has been able to custom code mirror fold on lock (i.e. press lock button on key fob or using the door handle button and the mirrors IMMEDIATELY fold). I’m aware that an extended hold of the lock button will fold the mirrors. I’m looking for immediate fold on press of lock.

Thanks in advance!

So I figured some of this out today while playing around with the PIWIS 2. It is called “comfort opening”. I figured out how to code the windows down and sunroof open with extended press of the fob unlock button using the PIWIS 2.

Make sure you have sufficient battery charge or, better yet, have a power supply unit (PSU) attached. I’ve written a DIY on making your own PSU for clean power (constant voltage) while coding. It can be found here:

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...is-coding.html

Coding comfort window and sunroof opening:

1. Select the Front-end electronics module and then click Codings/Adaptations.

2. Select Customer-specific settings and then click Codings/Adaptations.

3. Select Coding: Window comfort opening and Coding: Slide/tilt sunroof comfort opening. Then click Codings/Adaptations.

4. Under Value select “yes” for both of these. Along the bottom hit “F4 Save”.

5. You will see “Coding has been written successfully” at the top left once it’s done.

Voila! As you approach your car on a hot day press and hold the unlock button on your car. The car will unlock and then all the windows will open and the sunroof will tilt!

Hope this helps others. Here are some pics to show the steps.

Awesome!!

Sweet, thanks for the info. Have you found a way to close the trunk with key fob? Now I need to find someone with a PIWIS local to me to try this window code..🤣🤣

murci930 is on a distinguished road
This is awesome, is there no other work around other the a PIWIS scanner? I only ask this because it seems something that should be optional within the settings. I also have been seeing a bunch of those "Carly App" commercials, i wonder...

Happy to share! I did look around for coding rear hatch/boot closing with key fob but couldn’t find anything. I’ll keep looking and will report back.

I’m also looking for:

1. Windows UP and sunroof CLOSED with key fob locking (watch Anthony Wong’s YouTube video on link I’ve attached above).

2. Deactivating noise when trunk/boot lid opens or closes.

3. Immediate fold of exterior mirrors with key fob lock (i.e. not with extended press
of lock button on key fob).

I’m currently looking through the “E” (engineering) mode on the PIWIS 2. Everything in E mode is in German so Google Translate is coming in handy!

If anyone else has information on any of these I’m happy to listen...

There is an adapter you install on the hatch door under lining, that enables open and close of trunk with the driver button. 970.1 only does open, no close (all you who experienced this, can understand the frustration, for owning a 175k car with no way to close trunk with inside button.
the part can be bought off Amazon for 80 bucks.

Must have been fixed on 970.2 as hatch/boot button on driver’s door will open and close the rear lid. To close you need to hold the button continuously until the hatch is completed closed.
