Norcal Tahoe RUN 6/30
We are planning a Tahoe run on June 30th. We will have 2 routes planned and will decide that morning which one will be taken. The drive is one of the most picturesque and fantastic drives you will ever go on. The roads are amazing and a fine balance of speed and twists.
Meeting point is Nimbus Winery off HW 50 and Hazel at 9:00AM.
Leaving at 9:30AM on the DOT.
There is a bay area caravan up to the meeting point lead by Marlin311.
Details will be given at the meeting point. Please remember to bring 2 way radios.
We will be having lunch in Tahoe

I need to get new tirese before then...my fronts are getting to be nill. I wanna sell the rollcage first though. Anyone know of someone with a 1990-1994 Porsche 911 (964 - fits sunroof car) that wants a brand-spankin new Safety Devices 6 point bolt in, let me know. $1k + shipping if necessary. Decided not to put it in the RSA afterall.

Can we actually try making a list of those who are going?
Also can you note if you wish to go to lunch with the group to the Forest Buffet. It is at Harris not Harvey’s FYI. If you are doing lunch else where please note other. Last if you are staying in Tahoe for the night or doing the BBQ at my place in Sacramento.

If there is anyone else that you have invited and that is driving along for this event. Please try to find out from those people the same below information.

Thank you

1. turbodragon - Forrest - BBQ

Norcal Tahoe RUN 6/30/07

Meeting point is:
Nimbus Winery
12401 Folsom Blvd
Rancho Cordova, CA, 95742

Meeting at 9:00AM (this is to meet everyone and to avoid traffic as best as possible)

We are planning a Tahoe run on June 30th. We have a planned route with 2 groups and 4 stops. The 2 groups will be divided into the following:
"Spirited" - for those who wish to run at posted speeds in twisty roads and a little above
"Cruz" - For those who wish to open the throttle sparingly but prefer to see the senaery.

We will be leaving at 9:30AM on the DOT from the meeting point.

There is a bay area caravan up to the meeting point lead by Marc: marlin311@sbcglobal.net

Please remember to bring 2 way radios if at all possible.

Lunch will be at the Forest Buffet at Harrahs Casino Casio for those who are interested. Please indicate if you plan on eating with the group or doing your own thing. The food is ok but the view is worth the price of admission.

There are a few people staying in Tahoe for the night. As it is the 4th of July weekend hotels are getting full rather fast. If you plan on staying this is on your own accord and can be coordinated with other members on the boards or with friends.

There will be a BBQ after the drive at Adam Cooks place for those who wish to attend. Please email if you plan on attending the BBQ and how many will be with you. adam@eurosunday.net

IF you wish to see a full Map of the planned route you will need to email me directly to get the link.

Interesting. I'm scheduled to go up to my place in Homewood on the 30th thru the 4th, so I may try to make it, although I had planned on taking the LX470 SUV. If I don't take any animals up, I can probably swing the M3.

Can you fill me in on where we will end up once we arrive in the Tahoe area? I'm assuming you'll be taking 50 up towards S. Lake Tahoe? I just need to know how i'll be getting to the west short after we are done.

Hello All

As many of you heard there is a fire up in the Tahoe region.

As it stands the drive is STILL A GO FOR SAT. <-------

We do have a alternate route planned in case the planned route has road closures. However My contact in CHP Dispatch has said 50 is reopened and that by this weekend all roads should be open. We will continue to watch the reports and I will be in contact with CHP. If anything changes I will post but the good news is that the brave fire fighters are getting the upper had.

If you wish to contact me directly please email me:

Are thoughts are with the family's who have lost their homes in the fire.
