if you had...

hi guys, If you had about 80k plus tax, what exotic would you get, needs to be somewhat reliable. Ard this price range it would almost have to be higher mileage.

I would not race it, but just cruise around town. My choices are
02/03 ferrari 360
04 lambo gallardo
04 bentley GT
07 Aston Vantage

i would consider a porsche, since it reliable but it may not be exotic enough, no offense
thanks

well thats mostly the case with the purchase of a low-priced used exotics. while the price may seem attractive and affordable, the maintenance will only come back to bite you in the ......

Out of that list I would go Lambo but for me and my lust for track days I would pick up a Viper ACR.

Get the Lambo or the Ferrari. You will reliably get to spend $5K-10K a year on oil changes, tune ups, higher milage repairs, etc...but at least you'll be exotic. Get the Bentley GT (at a svelte 5,258 lbs) if you only like to drive in a straight line and want everyone to confuse it with a Chrysler 300. Get the Aston if you like visiting the shop a lot.

CTS-V

couple of mods to it and have lots of fun with it.

http://www.cadillac.com/vehicles/2010/cts-v/overview.do

still have money left over for service and couple sets of tires + insurance.

DO not Lease buy keep for a bit and sell it.

Unfortunately, that is true. Ferrari, Lambo, Bentley, and Aston's will always kill you in maintenance and up keep. I've watched my friends with their cars and I have no interest in shelling out that much money for up keep every year. That is why I have always stuck with Porsche.
