It is almost done. I am waiting for the 1000 cc injectors. They should be arriving sometime after the first of the year. I am going to drive it in the mean time. Just need to keep it under level four, which is 737 hp.

Zippy,
There are a few people who are aware of what the car has turned.
Trust me it is stock.
On the serious side, the numbers will be disclosed at the shootout planned for late spring or early summer. It will be worth the wait. Your imagination won't be dissappointed.

I just received my carbon fiber hood. I took it to the body shop and the shop owner said the quality was very good. He also said he would bake it in the oven at least five times in order to out gass the resin gasses. However, the finish would never equal the metal finish and after a couple months in the sun to expect some shrinkage due to additional resin out gassing. He said this would affect the paint finish.
What have others with carbon fiber hoods experienced?

Bah tell me about it.. on number three as it is. No carbon fibre hood is ever the same... First one purely had the holes for the latch in the wrong place. Second one hung to the right (yeah funny lol). The third one is kinda nice but way way floppy (double lol) and seems to stick up on one side. Apparently you just have to let it cure in the sun. There are adjustments that can be done via the screws on either side since they have play... but to be honest, it'll never fit as well as a stock hood. So be it, I'll take the weight shavings I guess.
sharkster,
I'm having second thoughts. This car will always be too heavy for serious track work. I'm not sure the approximate fifteen pounds is worth the headaches.
Heck, I saved just over thirty pounds with the battery swap with little to no side effects and alot less cost. I think I'm going to pass on the hood and wait for the Carrera GT seats.

I was not doubting your HP claims.

CGT seats

Yes, CGT seats. A bit lighter than the GT3 seats (carbon fiber) and I really like the design.
