Excessive options on this $166K 991 C2S?- me thinks so!

Wow - I've never seen one ordered with so much stuff. $67,000 in options!!!! Am I reading this correctly? Was _anything_ left off?

Did the salesperson have too much to drink on a friday afternoon when they ordered this car???

It has PPCB's but I guess a powerkit is missing. What were they thinking, leaving that off?!

How could they leave off power kit on a 166K C2S build? Wonder who would buy that..

I'm pretty sure my optionlist is longer.... Is that why they always are that friendly when I step into my dealership??

BTW... I didn't take the powerkit too. Useless option IMO, just like PCCB. (For me personally that is of course... I rather spend that extra money on the interior, because that's the place I spend most of my time )

Regarding the price... This car is cheaper than the baseprice for my C4S over here, so that's the reason I didn't fell off my chair when I saw it I guess

The build as I intend to order is 166,795. But I have chosen significantly different options. Powerkit being my most expensive option. My order will be for the 4S though, not the 2S.

Personally, I think there mistake was in ordering options that might detract from the purchase. I personally would not purchase it because of some of the options on it. Not because of the price.

For that kind of money, I'd get a GT3.

For what its worth, that's not the most I have seen... Its missing the X51 power upgrade and the full exterior paint.

The same breed of buyer that thinks the base is too much car, and that they should be more comfortable for the monthly outing (provided it isn't raining).

When I ordered my 991S Cab the dealer advised me that I had to give notice, well prior to the "lock" date if there was any chance whatsoever I wouldn't take the car. If there was that chance they were going to "dumb" down the car as I was specifying far too many $ in options and they would have trouble selling it off the floor. It is an X51 Cab with many options and would list in the US at around $163k and almost $190k in Canada.

Saw a C2S optioned up to $180K - Yikes!

When I was shopping for my C2S 4 months ago, there were only 2 in SoCal that had all the options I wanted. One was bright red, with every conceivable option except a sunroof, for $180K at the dealership in Newport Beach. I have to think that was a custom order that was cancelled by the buyer. I'm sure the dealer would have been very flexible on the price, but still.

I didn't like my Racing Yellow paint (still don't) but it had what I wanted (and nothing that I didn't want) and the price couldn't be beat.

I could have ordered a car, but I would have lost out on the combination of three different incentive programs that made the price irresistable.

oh US pricing... every time i see people complaining about the price of a US car, i'm like @^#@$@#$@#$ ... we pay 40% more in Europe for the same car. On top of that, we pay more than double for fuel...
