Power steering plus
I have PSP on my C2 and its fine. IMHO depends on what you drove before, my previous car was a 06 cayman s with 19in wheels (prior to that a c6 corvette) and i noticed it immediately that at parking lot speeds and parking the car that it took more effort to turn the wheel compared to the C6, mentally it made you think more of a race car feel. It really took no time to adjust to PSP in the 991, you notice it initially and then its forgotten, and you feel absolutely no transition when the steering wheel gets stiffer, mentally i'd say you feel more refined GT car.
Its not a must have (perhaps for a female or if you have issues with arm strength), but i would not have it disabled either. I can't think of an occasion where it was an issue...

From what I have read, people are removing it because they don't like it, makes them feel like they are driving a Buick instead of a sports car. Feels artificial and not "pure". I don't have it - just relaying what I have read.
I got rid of it. I hated it; the worst thing about the car imo. If I want a Lexus I'll buy one. I want a car that drives like a 911, even at low speeds.

I have it and I like it (it came optioned on the launch cars). Would I install it if it were missing? No. Would I pay $300 to option it on my next 911? Yes.
It has 2 advantages: 1. Easier maneuvering around parking lots/spots, especially with a cup of coffee in one hand, and 2. When you do low speed drifts the steering assist is your friend.
The 1 downside is I feel like less of a man because my 911 doesn't require more muscle to steer

I have it on my 991s and don't have it on my boxster. In terms of everydays driving, I have to say, once you get used to it, you will like it.
I used to like the weight of the steering wheel on my boxster, but once I get used to the 911 Power steering plus, driving the boxster is like driving a bus.

That has been my experience too, it would be nice if Porsche allowed you to toggle on and off as desired like other settings...
