We also started to make the new air piping!
We are going away from the traditional "tune" cone racefilter and are instead using the standard airbox from the 997Turbo that has a really nice design!

I bought mine from Porsche motorsport, but not the complete package.
We remade the hub so it fitted the rest of the parts! It wasn´t that expensive!
I can try to take some close up:s this weekend and try to explain it better!

It´s been some serious hard work lately.
But the car was ready to the Swedish Elmia motorshow just as promised..
Now it´s just the ECU tuning left before I´ll take it out on the streets and on the track!

Som pics....

Here is another engine pics were you can see the 997 airbox..
In my opinion a much better solution then the cone filter that you often see that more or less only such heated air.
We will modify the rear decklid for cold air to both openings!

Awesome result!

Have you considered to open up another opening to the inlets in the airbox?

I love the GT3 front bumper on this car. What parts are involved in converting the front to a 997? I assume bumper, fenders, and hood? Is that all, any welding or is it all bolt on?
I love the look, are the inlets large enough?
