Rebuilding a Porsche 996 Turbo(cup)-03 to a street legal racecar..
yes I got it running last year and it worked very very well for me! :-)
But because of a large glitch in my head I now have changed to the Teves Mk60e unit from the 2012 GT3-R :-)
Now when Im here I can address you with a little video clip! ;-)

LOL
Unlimited champion last year? Congrats! Is SMR still running his 'RSR'?
Great vid. Nice parking - but you might want to work on your vehicle placement skills.
I've read about people running the Teves unit. Apparently it can even be done for less than the earlier Bosch Cup ABS. Not a glitch it seems, just logical thinking. Besides, a car like yours is never finished. At least not before the next car comes along. Mine, unfortunately, has not even gotten to it's first stage of finish yet.
Pictures!!!

Ouppss yes.... ;-)
The Teves unit is apparently the one used in the 997 GT3-R 2012...
When I started off, the idea was to the exchange the 996 cup since its worth its weight in gold... ;-) Very popular on second hand market...
I thought I could do a TEVES cheaper.. That was not the case, it became more expensive.. But what was good was that I could optimise it for my car in terms of weight callipers etc which was not the case with the 996Cup which has completely different sizes of tires, callipers, weight etc...

SMR is running the same TEVES ABS but mine is a bit more customized, he has the GT3R SW and I have one GT3R SW adjusted for my car individually.
Yes he got some issues last part of the year after a broken driveshaft, so I ended up as as champion after been second in the championship for 2 years!!
Right now Im ahead in the championship after a rough first race in the rain.. Were I ended up in first place and SMR in 8th.
Second race I was second and SMR first...

Winner of the final race of the season and therefore also the winner of the Swedish Unlimited Time-attack series for the second consecutive year in a row! :-)
Especially fun to win the final race against the former Renault Formula 1 test driver and winner of Formula World Series, Alx Danielsson in a 1000HP Corvette GT2 car!
He is the small guy to the left, Im the fat guy in the middle, haha!! ;-) ;-)

Grattis till vinnaren, Pete!
Did you notice any difference in IAT after "boxing" IC outlets in bumper? What ICs do you currently use?
One more question: what spring rates do you use?

I Use the GT2RS IC
The boxing of the air-intakes helped a bit but wasn't enough.
One reason could be that I also rebuilt the inner fenders to be able to fit my really large tires(31/71/18).. This affects the size of the air-tunnels in the fenders which probably are the reason behind the high IAT.
So to solve this for this year I also added Water/methanol injection which permanently solved the temperatures and brought it down to 35C maximum in a hot day.
If I remember correctly Im running about 245 front springs and 270 rear springs!
