Just upgraded to GT3 calipers.... Questions

Have just upgrade my front calipers to six pot GT3 setup which I love.

what did you guys who have done this do about the brake wear sensors?

I now have a light on the dash.

Also I have a question about PSS9. Is this a good setup for someone who does the occasional track day? We have an exige for the track but I will do the ring in the porsche but it will mainly be for fast road use.

where are the best deals on this setup?

thanks

Lee

I folded mine back onto the brakeline and zipp tied them there. You can turn that light off with the durametric software.

I have PSS9s on my car and I love them. I'm running them in the 1st setting on the rear and the 2nd setting (Both from full stiff) on the front and using H/R adjustable sway bars (set to the middle setting) with adjustable droplinks. I recommend getting it corner balanced and aligned properly afterwards, so budget accordingly!

Smile GT3 Brakes

Twin T,
I love my GT3 brakes, installed front GT3 air ducts.
My kit came with new sensors, no lights on the dash.
I also run PSS9 & H&R sway. I set the sway on stiffest setting,
PSS9 @ R 3 & F 2. I have tried several settings and settled on this.
The car is firm on the street yet comfortable. When pushed in the corners
the sway on stiff prevents body rolling. I use the billet drop links in rear.
Next upgrade will be the rear upper dog bones & front pillow ball mounts.
Corner balance & alignment is crucial, good luck!

Thanks Mike and Silvershark for the replies.Thats just what I wanted to hear.

I am very impressed with the GT3 setup and it looks 100% better too.

Any thoughts on who has the best deals on PSS9?

Are you going to install them yourself or have a shop do them? If a shop is doing them, they may be able to get them cheaper than you can...

The average going price is about $2200... But I've seen them sell for about $1800 on ebay!

The only drawback with Pss9s is that you may run out of travel if you lower too much. Many choose to go with FVD spec Pss9s as they come with slightly stiffer springs in the package. I raised the front of my car in increments because the car would bounce off mid corner bumps unsettling the car. Not fun or safe. I now feel they're great and honestly if the car was any lower, it would be a pain to drive in and out of driveways.

From experience I can tell you that Pss9s (even FVD spec) will ride and handle better than stock in noticeable manner.

JIC and a few others allow you to lower the shock body, therefore keeping your wheel travel as you go lower. So if max travel and or lowering is your goal, you may want to stay away from Pss9s.

Suspension is one the best mods on these cars.

Hi Mike,

I can not seem to turn the 'Brake sensor light' off with the Duremetric software.

Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Hi, you can ether cut the wire off the the plug (about3/4 inch) and twist them together with a butt connector or drill a hole in the brake pad and reinstall the sensors. I cut the wires of flush with the end of the connector stripped some of the cut wire bent it into a U then put the open end of the U into the connector (car side) then reinstalled the brake side of the connector.
Hope this helps,
Tim
