Evolution of my 996 Turbo
This was the info I was referring to earlier in the thread in order to compare apples to apples.I believe some do it at 25" and some do it at 28".I will get the specs and get back to you.
Hey Joe i was looking at this picture
but i could sware that Todd from Protomotive came out with this set up years back, i actually have it installed on my car and i am sure there are many others out there that have it as well, minus the fancy name plate, and i have not intalled the BOV on the tubes but its generally the same set up unless you say diffrent.. Correct?
Here is Todd Z's(owner of Evoms) response to the same question asked earlier"I don't think we are following
When using a blow through MAF setup, there are not too many ways to route the charge plumbing. In order to get the decklid to close and everything to fit properly, this is about all anyone can do to get it all to fit. The shape of the pipes, etc. are caused by the size constraints. "Now if you are referring to using a blow through maf as copying well I don't think so.First off it is a totally different maf(Bosch and not Ford),second it is tuned totally in house by Todd Z.Third as you mentioned it is using two Tial blow off valves of which are located close to the TB whereas yours are not(I believe yours are the diverter valves located on the intercoolers?)and lastly the filters will not be located in the fenderwells.I understand what you are trying to imply and disagree with you.
Bottom line is that, like Joe said, there is no other way to route the system....

We all know a good idea evolves over time. I'm in the planning stages for a shootout in October and joetwint from the EVO camp and robmd99 from the Protomotive camp were both gracious enough to say they would attend with another six of some of the fastest 996/997tt's in existence.

The devil is in the details. I am not about to say if one is a better design than the other. A better MAF than the other, etc.

Besides the information that I posted above, there are MANY differences with this system. The major difference is the manifold that the system attaches to. There are not that many that are using this type of system. Additionally, the MAF housing and MAF sensor are specific to our system and larger throttle valve.
We got this modified World Cup plenum from EVO a few years ago. I thought they gave up on this design when I conversed with joetwint a while back ......... we really liked it as it provided the flow for our head flow and engine displacement.

This is not the manifold we are using. That TB is a cable driven and this manifold design has been updated from Porsche in the recent years.
