Dyno Results

As promised, here are the results.

More details here: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post2556467

Some important details:

Very stock-ish car down to the Boost Hoses
60 LB Injectors
TIAL 2860RS (non alpha) ball bearing turbos
Remus 70mm exhaust
Hitachi
Conservative Dyno
91 Octane
No tricks, hot 90 degree day

Car won't boost past 1.2 BAR. We think the issue is leaking diverter valves. The idea is to run 1.4 BAR on pump. Remember these are smallish turbos so 1.4 BAR doesn't flow like 1.4 BAR on GT30s.

The before file is an Intercooler file (on stock intercoolers). You can visibly see the car go into safe mode after seeing events it's not happy with.

Coming soon:

New Diverters
Larger Intercoolers (with new silicone hoses and an F Hose)
Re-Tune including 100 octane file

The car is a hoot to drive, super fast spool (spins the tires in 2ND from a roll) and has a mad rush to the 7350 RPM cutoff. You can see it makes more and more power well past 7,000 RPM.

I expect we will see a fatter mid range torque curve and a lot more mid range power once we really get it dialed in and the boost up another .2 BAR. This tune is still pretty conservative IMO.

Special thanks to Dan at Speed Gallery, Tony at EPL, The guys at GIAC and everyone here on my favorite board. I support vendors here every opportunity I get.

Ari
get the car boost leak tested from the turbos.. you block one off and pressurize the other... if anything leaks including the DVs it will show up.....
You need ICs big time...
mark
I have something around the corner.. Bell cores with custom end tanks... 3.5 inch tall 14 long and 9 wide... will fit stock hoses or even 2.5 inch OD piping if you like....
preview,

Nice numbers indeed. Isn't it odd that these turbos make peak hp at such a high rpm with your relatively stock setup? I don't remember seeing that result with similar setups...

AWD correct?

Dave,

Somthing happens at 6000 rpms in the DME that often causes power spikes around 6100....

Nice Ari,
I can vouch that the intercoolers will work wonders on that dip. My car with the same exhaust did about 530hp and 540tq peak all wheel on pump and the power delivery/curve is great and CONSISTENT. On 104oc Garret held things around 560hp and 590tq to be safe (few more mods like headers, turbo plenum, 3" exhaust and big t-body). Those guys are really great and your car should hit similar numbers. It's pretty awesome and factory-like.
What's up Markski...hows things? Those look nice.

Cheers,
Sam

porscheralph is infamous around these parts
Dumb question to follow - was the test run in AWD or was the front drive shaft disconnected? I have tried to find someone in my area (northern VA) to do a dyno run but they ALL want the front drive shaft disconnected. They say you cannot get accurate reading otherwise. Any and all info will be appreciated.

We have an all wheel drive Mustang dyno, but ran Ari's car in 2WD mode as it has been converted to RWD only.

I believe Curry's Auto has an AWD mustang dyno in the NoVa area.
