996TT vs. GTR
. Todd has had K16 Hybrids for 1-1/2 years now and was making WAYYY over 500whp...
re: brake prices... Like I said - I have my own concerns about the car.
Something like $900 per rotor, ~$600 for a pair of pads, including taxes and labor (which includes bedding). It may have been closer to $5k.
On a Mustang dyno, my car baselined at 400whp before any mods. It seems to be the norm. The range has been between 400 - 415 (with a few higher and lower).

My car was 425awhp with those mods I'm gonna guess the GTR is right there too?

It's good that you obviously see the humor in that 7k is outrageous but 6k is almost reasonable for brakes. Thanks for the dyno info...interesting. I have yet to park my a$$ is one of these, but I am looking forward to the opportunity someday. I can't say as I would want one, as I don't think they are that great looking, but mad respect for the awesome performance from a factory AWD vehicle.
that would make sense. However, with several hundred pounds less and more hp to the wheels, he should have beaten a stock GTR. WE need to see a dyno of that car. He may have something else going on. Also would not be bad to see a dyno of the GTR. Could be that the GTR in question may be making more than std and the TIp is making less than OP thought. The two GTR's I saw dynoed personally were within 5whp of each other on the same day same dyno. And their numbers would have translated back to about 480 bhp or so. But I have heard of other GTR's having more. I think the same dyno had another one on another day pulling 15 whp more than the two I saw.
Ok, guess you have a faster car.. I ran a Protomotive PE700 tiptronic for some time... and didnt pull three car lengths on a GTR ever... guess there was something wrong with my car... Todd you have some answering to do ! haha

or the driver
Are you SURE there isn't a Cobb tune on there? Absolutely positive? This can be done by even the most inexperienced owner in just a few minutes.
Over 80mph, in stock form, the GT-R starts falling on it's face (relative to the Cobb Stage 1 tune). You should switch cars, put on the boost meter, and see what happens...
putting the subject back on my slow tip...data testing should be happening yesterday/today...I bought the $2k tune from Todd / Vivid, so hopefully they can figure out if there is something wrong with the tune.
Well I guess I'm at a loss for you then...
Yeah, I have run against 400whp cars and it's not even a race...I actually apologized for car raping him...
