Porsche of Omaha is hosting a track day (weekend) on Sept 18, 19 at Mid-America Motorplex. $100 gets you two full days of DE style track time...including lunch!

Great, great video Jon. You seem incredibly calm, smooth inputs.....Out of curiosity, what speeds do you hit on the long straight?

My best lap time was 2:33.7. It got hotter later in the day, and I was running more like 2:34-2:36 when I got a clean lap, which wasn't very often.

It was really a blast. Car ran great all weekend.

Top of 5th gear (155-160) on the front straight (up the hill) and on the downhill run. More like 145 on the run through the trees because the braking zone going into Canada corner is kind of short, at least it seems short when it's coming at you that fast.

Here's my last track day

http://vimeo.com/14569661

I got pissed off after the suby/ s2k passed me. I never get passed at the track !

My car looks like it's handling on ice. That's what happens when you dont do an alignment nor corner balance after you install coilovers O stupid me.

p.s. at 2.5 laps I got the hang of how to tame the beast with everything going agaisnt me watch the video !

Great vid - 2nd half much better than first half. I love the part when the sub kick up the dirt (right before you pass) and you can hear the rocks and dirt hitting the camera..

Camera is really wide angle and really distorts at the sides.

If you've ever watched "PINKS", they've done a few shows at the drag strip (parallel to the straight.)

Here is a link to the wiki including a track map; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Raceways
